If you could select any "room location" at the resort (not a suite but a regular room), what would you select (floor, location in resort, etc.) and why?

Not an expert, but we got a fantastic upgrade to 6157 that was a courtyard view that gave us an unobstructed view of Wishes every night over the other side of the resort and then could look down to the right and watch the electric boat parade-all from our balcony. It was a bunkbed room, and has spoiled my kids forever!:thumbsup2
Others have mentioned asking to be on the 4th or 5th floor over the otter pond if you pay for woods view to get a partially obstructed view of wishes.

Another vote for courtyard view - we had 5th floor courtyard - got to see Electric Water Pageant from our balcony,

My very favorite room that I've stayed in was on the fifth floor, south side, all the way out to the end of the building facing the lake. It was such a peaceful view that I spent a lot more time on the balcony than I usually did. I also like the upper courtyard view. You can see the geyser and the pool, but it's not as noisy. I've had otter pond views several times, and they're good, plus they're closer to the boat dock and convenient to Roaring Forks. I don't think I've really had a bad room at WL, although I'm not overly fond of the enclosed balconies on the top floor. I like to sit and enjoy the view, not stand.

Last time we were there we had a courtyard view, the first floor so from our patio we could walk right out and be at the little stream. Ducks were very close. We liked that and it was very convenient to the lobby and bus stop. But, I was wondering how the view would have been further down towards the lake. And am wondering what "floor" or "level" is the best. Thanks so much for the thoughts so far.

We have loved just about every location in WL...then again, we just love WL! Our favorite spot was on the 3rd floor, overlooking the courtyard on the villas side, closer to the villas end (rather than the lake). Absolutely peaceful, and at night if you leave the curtains open what a beautiful way to fall asleep!

Here's a picture of an inner courtyard view:
