Is it worth $200/ night to stay in a Deluxe (jr. suite) room at WL over staying in a cabin at Fort Wilderness. We have 4 kids ages 6,8,9,and 12. This is our first time to WDW as a family. It will probably be our only time and we want to "do it right" but not spend $$$ unnecessarily.

Thank you for any comments!

I am a huge proponent of the cabins at FW. However, I would suggest you go with the WL. While we love the cabins, staying there does require at least two forms of transportation for nearly every destination. You will need to take the internal bus to the TTC and then switch to another bus or a monorail for the parks, Downtown Disney, etc. Or you will have to take the internal bus to Pioneer Hall to switch to the boat for the MK.

The WL is simply amazing and has much more of an immersion-in-WDW-theming quality. Since you say that this will probably be the only time your family goes to WDW I'd defnitely spring for the WL.

Just my opinion.
