WL Courtyard Preferences?

Hello to all.
I was lucky enough to receive the email rate and booked the WL Courtyard View for DH, DD (5), and myself. I am not familiar with the options as far as views and locations for CY. I am enjoying reading the WL FAQ thread, but since it seems that it will take a long to time to read (I've seen shorter novels!), I thought that I would pose the question here.
Obviously, I assume that there is no chance of castle view (there were no woods rooms left at this rate), but are there possibilities of the EWP view?
I would appreciate any other tips you may have as well. This is our 1st time at the WL (last time was Polynesian), and we are very excited to try this beautiful resort.

I too got the rate for the courtyard view at WL yesterday. The CM told the differences in the rooms:

WL is in the shape of a U, at the base of the U are the standard rooms facing the parking lot, the outside of the U are the woods view rooms, and the inside are the courtyard view rooms.

As for views of the MK or EWP, I couldn't tell you. We stayed at WL last May and had a woodsview room overlooking the villas pool. We loved it. I can't wait to have the courtyard view. I am sooooo excited.

You can see EWP from all Courtyard View rooms, but not MK. Some woods view rooms on 6th or 7th (concierge) floor can see a little MK the trees have grown so tall they hide alot now. We just got back last week from a week there and had courtyard view. Loved it!!!

The last time we stayed at the WL we had a courtyard view, and said we could never go back to woods view. It was so nice to sit on our balcony and watch the EWP and the pool lit up at night.

Our room was on the 5th floor in the center or the U. Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip.

If you want the courtyard view...pool, geyser....make sure that you request INNER courtyard or you may end up with a view of the villas courtyard. This is a tip that I learned here on the Dis when we went last Dec.!

I just booked a courtyard view on Friday for 12/2-8! I called to book POFQ but was told I was going to receive a discount mailer and POFQ was not included. My rate was $137.00 not including tax. Is this good for the courtyard view? I also wanted to know where to request my room, closer to the lobby or closer to the lake?

That is an awesome rate ! With the AZZ code we got $132 w/o tax for a woods view !!

We too got the $137 for the courtyward view! This will be our first time staying at the WL! We are staying from 12/4-12/11! YEAH!!!!!

I'm interested in this too for the inner courtyard. I actually asked the same question on the WL FAQ thread. Let's hope we get some recomendations! I'm more interested in the view from the balcony, than other factors such as length of walk, proximity to pool/lobby, etc.

I just returned home from 7 great nights at the WL. I requested inner courtyard but instead received courtyard facing the villas pool.........I also requested 4th or 5th floor and received the 6th floor.......room 6162 to be exact. I was a bit dissappointed because the balcony was closed and we could not see a thing without standing up.......so if it's the view that is most important to you then make sure you ask for inner courtyard and open balcony. If you stood up and looked left from our room you could see part of the EWP at night. I have pictures of the view that I will post soon. Even though our request was not filled,we still had a wonderful vacation and just loved the WL.

Well if you want a king bed with a large HC bathroom and a large shower, and a nice view of the pool and springs, request room 2125. It was close the lobby, Mercantile, and to the exit for bus transportation. Just a step or two away, we could exit to go to the pool with out having to walk through the lobby. Very nice room.
