For anyone who has stayed at WL concierge, how did you enjoy your stay? I'm trying to decide if we are going to stay courtyard view or concierge. I have a few questions:

1. Did you like the layout of the Old Faithful Club? What view do you have from there? I have only been able to find limited pictures.
2. Was the staff friendly? Did check in go smoothly?
3. What type of room views are available? If you made a view request, was it granted?
4. Would you stay concierge level again at WL?

We have stayed concierge at the Poly and enjoyed it. I'm just looking for feedback on peoples opinions. It's not so much a value for the money question, but a "did you enjoy your stay?" question.

Thanks for any feedback!

I stayed at the WL/Concierge 12/18/06 to 12/25/06. Absolutely loved it. Our view was of the pool but we could also see the geyser from our room. I really don't think there is a bad view from any room at the WL. The Concierge CM's were good, but one CM really stood out. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name (but he was the only male CM Concierge during our stay). He was able to get us PS at the Flying Fish Cafe, on Christmas Eve and Breakfast PS on X-Mas morning at the Whispering Canyon Cafe, both made on 12/24, almost impossible, his knowledge of the parks, restaurants, etc., was exceptional. The food offerings were very, very good. The evening offerings could almost make a full meal. Soups, stews, casseroles, which varied every day. You will love it. The price of a Concierge room at the WL is so much more reasonable than most of the other Deluxe resorts, and a very good value IMHO. We had breakfast at the Lounge every A.M. which was a great time saver (fresh pastries my favorite was defilitely the apple pasrty, cold cereals, oatmeal with all the fixings, fresh fruit, juices, hot drinks). Snacks & beverages all day, evening wine and cheese and Evening deserts (cobblers YUM + nore, Liqueurs). Have I gone on enough. The added convenience of the boat to the MK is so much better than waiting for the bus. The only thing better than the WL/Conc. in June is the WL in December.

Thanks for the reply!:) I also thought the price of WL concierge is pretty reasonable compared to some of the others.

We are going to be there this December!:cool1: I've heard it's beautiful at Christmas.

I hope you don't mind my honest opinion!
While I love WL and I'm sure we will stay there again, I don't think that I will be paying for CL again (although I'd gladly take a free upgrade like I had 2 years ago! :teeth:)

I thought we would get to check-in on the CL. Someone at bell services tried to contact them and couldn't reach anyone up there, so they sent me over to the front desk...and I waited and waited while they tried to find someone on the 7th floor to come down to get me. Finally, the CM at the desk got a key for the elevator and took me up there herself. I was just surprised, because it was not what I expected.

I made a request on my original ressie and through IPO (which was directly related to some special needs in my family) and although there was a room ready, we were not given our request initially. When I asked about it, within about 10 seconds, they were able to find a ready room that met our request (which makes me wonder why we didn't get it in the first place). (yes, I know, requests are just requests...but if it's available, I would think they would try to honor it) Again, end result was that we did get our request, which was good.

I love WL...and the food was great (although the drinks were not always stocked)...we love the little kid tables and relaxing on the couches. I've always dreamed about staying there at Christmas time! I hope you have a great trip!!

Thanks for the honest reply. I'm sorry your trip got off to a rocky start. It's good to hear all sides!

For anyone who has stayed at WL concierge, how did you enjoy your stay? I'm trying to decide if we are going to stay courtyard view or concierge. I have a few questions:

We stayed there last October during the busy Veterans Day weekend and enjoyed it very much.

1. Did you like the layout of the Old Faithful Club? What view do you have from there? I have only been able to find limited pictures.:

The OFClub layout is fine and ample for busy times with two doorways. Just outside the club itself you have the balcony around almost three full sides of the lobby with views of the lake also.

2. Was the staff friendly? Did check in go smoothly?:

We found the staff courteous; helping us change ADRs at the last minute and checking for leftover days on old passes. Check-in was easy once someone in the lobby finally got us into an elevator to get upstairs!

3. What type of room views are available? If you made a view request, was it granted?:

You basically get a woods "Standard View" overlooking the driveway on the north side or a Woodsview Castle on the northside as we did or a Courtyard View or one of the 4 Honeymoon Suites or a Wilderness Lodge Villas View. I might have forgotten one. We got our requested room view.

4. Would you stay concierge level again at WL? :
Yes, definitely! But as much as I love the WL I think the rooms are too small for 3 adults and even though their concierge prices are the lowest we got awfully tired of our tiny room after 6 nights! We will save the WL for a 2 adults only trip!
