OK, we are booked for March 2004. We went to Disney this past March and stayed at POFQ....loved it. However, we are currently booked for POFQ for March and have been toying around with the idea of upgrading to a deluxe hotel. We have two children ages 11 and 8, both boys. We had dinner on this past trip at Artist's Point at WL and LOVED the hotel (well, the lobby). We are wondering, if we were to upgrade to a deluxe hotel what would you recommend for our type of family? I'd love to hear from those who have stayed at WL and AKL as those seem to be the two we are considering (the others seem "too fancy" for a family vacation). Thanks!!:earsboy:

Just wondering how long you have been booked for? POFQ is closed for refurbishment and it may not be back open then. We had ressies back in June for POFQ for a discounted rate of $84. When they closed for renovations, we were given the oppurtunity to upgrade to Polynesian for just $35 more. But you never know, POFQ may be reopened by March. Good luck!

We've stayed at the AKL three times and love it. We enjoyed the pool view more than the Savannah view. We have DS's 3 & 6 and they didn't miss the Savannah view this last trip. DS 3 yr old wanted to live there! LOL

I'm wondering whether to stay at AKL or WL also. I noticed you are going next year, they have new discounts just available on packages beginning in January. Check it out on Mousesavers.com.

Both are great resorts...we stayed at WL...soon our favorite, then decided on the next trip to split a stay at AKL/WL...loved AKL even more! Since you haven't stayed at either and have no point of comparision I doubt you will be disappointed w/ either resort. AKL is a bit more quiet and relaxing but there is a lot to do..fireside story telling, viewing the animals etc.... AKL tends to costs me a bit more...because of paing for a savannah view..I rarely pay for a view at WL...don't think it is necassary.

We loved AKL. DD (5) wants to live there also.

I would sit down with the boys, look at pictures of each and ask ther opinions.

You really can't go wrong.
