OK, now I'm mad. Now I'm really, really mad!
Last night I was taking a bucket of water out to the barn and I slipped in the mud and did something to my new knee. It was all swollen up, like someone cut a grapefruit in half and stuck it on my kneecap. It hurts a little now but mostly feels weird. Which scares me because when I blew out my ACL it didn't hurt either. It just felt weird. I RICED it last night and this morning. I didn't train today. Right now I have it wrapped up in an Ace bandage. Grrrrrrr. This ticks me off.
to Nancy and Kristin!
Angie - I too am struggling with my Minnie training.
When I was training for the Half last fall I only missed one day because of an injury. I did everything else flawlessly. This time, I don't know, I just can't get into it. I'm trying to blame it on winter doldrums, and well, what happened last weekend doesn't help, but anyway, I'm determined to improve over the next couple of weeks. That is, if this stupid knee cooperates.
Terri - Oh that's great news!
Pretty soon it will all just be a dim memory and you will so glad you did it.
Oh yay! Kristi's got her picture back up!
Steve - Hey, I was wondering where you went.
Stephanie -OMG! That's awful!
No caffeine? How did you get going? (I totally sympathize with you here.)
Oh Vic, nooooo. I'm sorry you are sick.
Maybe you were breathing in too much dust.
Craig - Have a fun and safe trip.
(OK I know you're not driving but we have no airplane smilie.) We will miss you here.
Jen - Where are you going in Northern CA? I'm dying to take a vacation there, maybe Mendocino.
Martha - You're too funny!
Even when you're sick you make me laugh. We're going to have fun at OKW!
OK, let me pretend to be working when I'm actually researching an ultra top secret DCL trip to give Charlie for Christmas this year.

, the birds are starting to come back, but the crowd level is still high. Our Spring breaker folks are here and the waiting lines have been an hour or more on the weekends. Ugh! I think we have about a month left of ski season, then all us locals can sit back and enjoy the "2 for 1" dinners that the restaurants will offer. ha. Just waiting
til my walking path is clear from snow.lol
I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2005 with a
6 hr finish due to a fall at mile 19 (cut up pretty bad) and had to trot/walk the rest of the way. I was on a 5 hr finish until that time. I am very exited about Disney. I have a few questions I hope some of you can answer (1) Do they offer any discounts on tickets or room packages (I booked the Swan right now but I can still cancel); (2) Is the Swan a good location to get to the start line and be able to crawl back to? (3) will my hubby be able to find me along the route (at MCM he went back to our room and fell asleep, alas 1st marathon ---- no pics ---- no cheering section --- no nothing until mile 23 when all he could say was hey, your leg is ooozing blood
yup, one of those weeks!!!
I have to say, all this has made me appreciate my DH more than ever! He gets back Saturday night, and I soooooo can't wait!!!
