Good morning Wish team!!! Happy Monday! I had an awesome workout last night at the gym, I did the bike for 15 minutes, the elliptical for 23 minutes and then lifted for about 30 minutes. The bike totally kicked my butt, I did the random hill program, at first I was thinking to myself "this doesn't feel any different than the manual programs". Until I started feeling the burn in my quads!!! There were points I was pedaling as hard as I could and doing 88 rpm's and then as I crested the "hill" and started coming down, all of a sudden I was doing 120 rpm's. It was such a great workout for my legs, I think I'm going to do the hill program more often. And my arms are killing me today, I don't usually lift with my arms, just my legs, but I want to start toning, plus having a stronger upper body makes distance running a little easier. I did the arm extension and the arm curl--both really light weights, I think 20lbs each, but it was enough! My pectoral muscles are letting me know that they were worked yesterday! Oh, and Stephen safely made it to the gym after running there from our house--11.46 miles. He has a really funny story that I hope he has time to get on here and tell everyone. When he told me, I was literally laughing so hard, I was crying.
I'm going to think about running both Columbus and WDW. I'll probably sign up for WDW, but if I am pregnant by then, I doubt I'll run or even walk the marathon. It's just not worth the risk and if the weather is anything like this past January, being out there for 6 or 7 hours would definitely be a risk. I really wish I would have thought of all this a couple of weeks ago, then I could have run the Columbus full and WDW half! But I'll sign up anyway, because as we all know, certain things take time and the chances of me being pregnant by January is probably not real high.
Christa--Maybe *you* can do marathons only weeks apart, but you are a much better runner than me!!! But thanks for the vote of confidence!

How did your shows go this weekend?
Stephanie--Columbus is Oct. 21. Come and run it with us! You know, I looked into running the Akron marathon because we're only about 3 hours from Akron and Stephen's sister lives there. Until I saw the 6 hour time limit. I don't anticipate it taking me 6 hours to run a marathon, but I didn't anticipate I would get hurt during the WDW marathon and it would take me 6:27 either. I like having a time buffer there in case I need it! One more ? for you, are you doing Hal Higdon's plan? I think I'm going to do the Novice 1 plan, but modified--I do NOT want to run a 10 miler in the middle of the week! The only thing I don't like about his plans is there is only 1 xt day. I might have to either do only day of rest and do 2 xt days or on the first running day of the week, when it's relatively low mileage, xt in the am and then run in the pm. I am so prone to knee injuries, I need all the xt I can get! I also am not crazy about running 3 days back to back, I'll have to rearrange that too!
Marathonmommy--There are a lot of people who run or walk marathons in the 6-7 time frame! Please come and join us and start posting more often!
Have a great day everyone!
