Greetings all.
My heart goes out to those at VT....

My ex's son went there and we went to his graduation.... It's ironic that one of my impressions of the school was how peaceful I found it to be...
This morning I did 45 min @ 4.0 @ 1%. I feel like I've really taken a step back in my training. I should be doing much better right about now, with the Minnie not that far off. Grrrr.

Anyway, I tried the new OTC orthodics in my Kayanos. They annoyed me for the first ten minutes but then I forgot about them. I finished pretty much pain free, but afterwards my foot really hurt. And my ankle now really hurts too. It keeps snapping and that REALLY hurts. Ugh. I see the podiatrist tomorrow.
Missing my
Cam very much..
MikeOptimator -
Nice job on finding an injury no one has ever heard of . Bonus points!
OMG this made me LOL!

Thanks! Can I redeem the Bonus Points like I do my Disney Rewards?!?! What can I get?? What can I get??
Sunny - Congratulations on the Patriot's Day race!
Martha - No, my podiatrist is not a sports specific doc. He did two foot surgeries on me already, though, so I know him pretty well. He's the head of his dept at the hospital here and has a great reputation. However, to be honest, I am thinking if this does not improve, I may have to go see Dr Hunka Hunka Burning Love. It seems now to be more in my ankle instead of my foot.
Craig - Oh how wonderful! How absolutely wonderful!
Matt - I'm worn out just reading what you did.

Holy cow, man! You're amazing!
Christa - Oh thanks for the pictures! As soon as I finish here I am going to look at them.

The heck with the reports I should be doing.
Krista - You might be wrong. Perhaps if you set your mind to it, you could run Boston.
Jackie - I see you started running without me....well, even if I'm getting left behind...I'm so happy for you!
Carrie - I too agree that this is a wonderful, supportive group. I feel completely unworthy, being just middle management in a totally boring huge corporation. I'm a microscopic fish here at this conglomerate. But hey, it pays for WDW trips, and allows me to DIS all day.

OK, almost all day.
Jen - I think we need to sit and put our injured feet up. Perhaps have the pool boy bring us drinks with umbrellas....
One short funny story then I have to get to work, after I look at Christa's pictures...
As many of you know, on the ToT13K thread, we had sort of a fun competition to see who would be the first to register. It was all in good fun. So, in order to make sure I was first, I had my IE home page set to that web page so I could see immediately when we could start registering. Well, I checked it yesterday before I left work and we couldn't register yet. It must have changed when I was on my way home. As soon as I get home I have to go out and feed the girls, so I'm out in the barn and I hear Charlie yelling out the bedroom window..."We can register!" Naturally, I'm in my barn clothes and muddy boots so I can't run in the house, but I run down to the window and yell in "GET US REGISTERED - Me first!" So then I finished up with barn chores and came in the house to check the thread and see who else registered and if I beat everyone. Of course I didn't and I kept saying "Shoot, they beat me. Darn, I wasn't first" and I was laughing because it was so silly. Charlie was amused that I can have so much fun with people I don't even know. If you guys really knew me, you'd know how pretty much anti-social I am. I'd much rather be at the barn than a party. I'm not much for dinner parties and going out with friends. Probably because I don't have too many.

But with you guys it's different. We have fun, we understand each other, we support each other. So what if we never met. I think it's great.
