Non-Disney Online Games (Wizard 101) Quest Tips & Help Thread!

AliceBlue - if you ever see me in the game (MorganMistcaster) just ask and you can follow me to any World you would like to shop in. I have the star wallpaper and it rocks! Got it in Marleybones. I find that Marleybone stuff works well in the Forest houses.:thumbsup2

I didn't do individual pictures, but here is a list of what is in the Krok shop.
Wow, thanks! That is helpful, and it's nice to see the other items in the shop.

From the names, I'm guessing none of those wallpapers are the ones I'm looking for. The selection seems to be even smaller than in Wizard City. Time to revise my strategy, I think.

I use crowns to unlock each area as I come to it, so I can't follow you to places I don't have access to yet. (That's why I needed someone to post the Krok shop info.) But thanks for offering; I may take you up on some shopping trips if I decide to subscribe for a month. (At this rate, it might be cheaper than working my way up with crowns.)

But I'm pretty bummed, because the choices for wallpaper at the WC shop don't include the tree pattern, nighttime stars pattern (not Wizdoodle), or the green Victorian pattern wallpaper. In screen shots/videos from the test realm, I saw those used in WC houses, but apparently KI decided to make them world exclusive. :(

Are these what you are looking for?

Yes, those are the ones! Thanks for the pictures. :)

Looks like there are some other interesting wallpapers and flooring as well. This pretty much clinches it for me; a major shopping trip is in my future. ;)

I have never heard of that problem.

You should contact the game's support on Wizard101's web site (www.wizard101.com) Click Help and Support on the main page. They are ususally quick to answer back.

Try to get a more precise description of your problem, like the exact error message.

Thanx 4 the advice. I think I'll give it a try. I'll let u know how it goes.

I am a crown player and bought 5000 crowns. I have played the free areas and used Crowns to play Cyclops Lane and Firecat Alley.

I now have 1100 crowns left and I'm trying to decide between Colossus Blvd. or the first three areas of Krokotopia.

Could someone tell me if I can play Krokotopia w/o doing Colossus Blvd. and Sunken Cave? I've gotten the quest to visit Bartleby and learn how to use the spiral.

Also once you move to Krokotopia can you still come back to Wizard city and fight some bosses again?

I"m level 13 with about 1100 heath and 90 mana. Is that too low to be attempting Krokotopia?

Any advice or opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks

HI! Welcome to the Dis!
As far as I know, you do not need to complete Colossus to advance to Krok. You may have some quests that will require a visit to Colossus, though. I know Ice wizards have to go there, not sure of other schools. There is another side quest, either from Marleybone or Krok, that sends you to Colossus as well. Sunken City is a stand-alone side quest and you don't have to do that at all, unless you are a Death wizard? I think...there is a school spell quest that requires Sunken City, but that's much farther along in the game.
You are fine for Krok. The only thing you may freak out on is the two monsters against your wizard in battle rings. You learn this in Colossus, but having skipped it, it might be a shock. LOL Once you have that spiral key, you're good to move to that world. You are always free to travel back to places on the spiral that you've already completed.
HTH I'm sure others here will have more info for you, too!

Just purchased a gift card an received the Power Dragon pet that gives a power play card (power pip chance). Can someone tell me what this card does or how to use it?

Thank you

Hi Goofer!

This spell will create a dome above the duel area. It will increase the chances to get power pips at each round for all the wizards in the duel.

I don't use it a lot because i already have a very high power pip propability. I am not sure, but i think the monsters also get power pips when you use it. I have seen it only once, so it might have been a bug.

Hope this helps! :wizard:

Life wizards need to go there for a spell quest at level 12. They are the school that is most impacted by skipping Colossus; they will miss out on Life's only three-pip offensive spell.

I agree, but it wouldn't hurt to spend some extra time fighting bosses/leveling up in Wizard City before starting Krok, since you won't have the additional health and mana that would have been gained by doing Colossus Blvd. Makes for a less painful experience.

Well, I guess this was not the best purchase I could have made. I already have crowns that I bought in game that I still need to use, but thought I would get something special with the gift card. If everyone benefits from my power pip card not so special.

When you buy a castle or home does it come with just one room?

I note a lot of people mentioning "forest rooms" and stuff - which houses have that?

Can you use marleybone furnishings in a MooShu house? I am so broke I have to really think through which castle to buy.

Thanks for all advice.

Hi Peri,

Some islands have some sort of hidden indoor place, i don't know which ones because i have not purchased one of them. One of the Maleybone island has some sort of "subway station" and one of the Krotopia has a cave.

What is important to know, it's that the most expensive island of each world will allow you to put more stuff in it. Like my Mooshu Imperial Palace, I can put 150 items in the "outside" area and 250 "inside" That limit seems to be the same for all the expensive islands of each world. But I can't be sure since i can't go verify. And all less expensive islands seem to have the same limits also: 50 items "outside" and 150 "inside"

Maybe someone else can confirm the limits for other islands.

As for the furniture, yes, you can put furniture from any world on any island.

Each world has two houses available, a larger estate (you can place 150 items outside and 250 items inside the house) and a smaller one (you can place 50 items outside and 150 items inside the house). The houses get more expensive as you "go up in the worlds".

In WC the small house (the house consists of a loft area (bedroom?) and a somewhat large living space downstairs) costs 8000 gold, and the larger version (the house has three levels with 3 small rooms and 3 large rooms, a large outdoor theater room, and water area) is 15000 gold.

Krok small is 10000 gold (it consists of a couple tents), large is 20000 gold (there is a sphinx, OK size 2 level house (5 rooms?), water hole, and lots of sand).

MB small is 12000 gold (1 large upstairs room, 1 large downstairs room, an additional room outside, and a pond), large is 30000 gold (many roomed house, large glass enclosed outside room with stage, another area that would be nice to put any statues you acquire, but you can't go into the water).

MS small is 15000 gold (1 large upstairs room, 1 medium downstairs room, an additional room outside, lots of green and sunshine, and water areas), large is 40000 gold (no upstairs, 3 large rooms?, 2 small rooms, large outside green and water areas with bridges - if I remember correctly lol).

DS small is 20000 gold (sort of large downstairs, 1 room upstairs, small outside patio at the very top third level, and a water area, it is all hardscape but you can place trees on it - that's what my husband did and it looks very nice), large is 50000 gold (I really don't remember much about this one as it didn't appeal to me much lol).

Forest rooms? Either they were putting trees inside their house, or there is a wallpaper in MS (?) that is trees, also a floor that is leaves. So you can change the existing walls or floors with wallpaper or flooring that you purchase from the shops in the different worlds.

Furniture obtained in different worlds go anywhere. But be aware that some furniture is not tradeable to another character. I believe all statues are not tradeable, and the "free" secret furniture is not tradeable. You can also obtain furniture from quests. To find more info about where to obtain this furniture, look at the Wizards Central Web site (wizard101central.com, under Housing, stickied). And, of course, you can actually buy some furniture.

Also, on the same website mentioned above, some people have made videos of their houses so you can preview some of the houses there.

Hope that helps some. Happy Wizarding!

Thanks Happy and Goofy - I think I am going to get the small MooShu house and decorate it - seems big enough for me!

Even though I am a grand master, I have almost no money - ha ha. I buy LOTS of cards at the library, that always uses up my dough, so now I am on a budget.

See you there, I hope - I play at wierd hours, though!

:wizard:

Hmm, guess I'd better get on with Dragonspyre. I was sort of stalling in hopes that they'd lift the level cap when the new world comes online. Anyone heard anything about that possibility?
