Non-Disney Online Games (Wizard 101) Quest Tips & Help Thread!

Does anyone know about a clothing quest in Krok or Marleybone? Someone mentioned it on the Wizard school forum.
Tink, I've been wracking my brains trying to think what this might be. I'm assuming the poster meant that there was a clothing item received as a reward for this "hidden" quest.

The only quest that stands out in my mind is one in the Krokosphinx that I could have easily missed, as it was not sequential with any of the main quests there. I believe I got it from the Mander character wearing the fez, in either the Hall of Champions (Kami?) or the Grand Arena (Ako?), and it seemed unusual because I thought I'd completely finished with that character earlier. I could be totally off base, but just thought I'd mention it.

i could grubb tonight, but i don't get on till like 10-11pm CST...that's why i'm having trouble with instances- the place is a ghost town by then (lots of kids in bed already)

oh yeah, not that it's important, but i forgot to mention: at the wizard duel, the refreshments they were talking about consisted of a ginormous (2x3 feet prolly) chocolate chip cookie that had the W101 logo in frosting on it :wizard:

they also said they were working on the 5th world, Dragonspire, so i assume all the pervious worlds will be fixed by the time it's added?? i hope

Shortly before I had to get off earlier, I received a call for help from someone on my list. After teleporting to him and assisting with the battle, I realized we were in Sunken City. He wanted additional help, and I had to explain that this particular area involved a time commitment on the part of any players helping, and that I was so sorry I could not stay.

This is just not fair for players who don't have the luxury of a board like this to arrange team efforts. Developers, are you listening?

Pick me, pick me! I just got Level 42, and I love my new Sanctuary spell. It boosts all health spells by 50%, and my life spells also pack a punch against those death creatures, including Grubb himself.

I'd also help you with Marleybone, if only to put off some of the Mooshu stuff for a while. :) I found that a lot of Marleybone was pretty tough to handle. Gearheads LOVE to drag me into a battle! :rotfl2: I'm willing to help.

I need to thank BOTH Padrics for helping me out in Mooshu yesterday. Padric 'ice' was there a LONG time while I went through two lands. And Padric 'fire' is always there if I have a boss battle.

Anytime Briar :) I enjoy helping my friends and I really dont have anything else to do in the game.

They did however lower the tower levels so that Its about four or five floors, this sped things up quickly when I helped my brother. We did it in about 35 minutes. I would say the average now is 30 - 60 minutes depending on the player.

I have been thinking about this, also. Do you think it would be easiest to just include a friend's location when you expand their profile?

I liked the idea someone had about letting us know some sort of approximate time we should allow for instanced areas. Maybe just an "x"-star rating, or something? Although, with the exception of the forever-long jaunt into the Tomb of the Beguiler, WITH 3 other people, I have never really spent more than about an hour anywhere instanced, even alone. Yet.

Speaking of times.....about how long do I need to allow for the Ironworks and is it possible to complete alone? I started it and got to the point where I needed to defeat the guy for the handshake or whatever to get to Pops O'Leary and then quit.

I just did it alone earlier today in very close to an hour (Level 30 Myth). The guy with the secret knock is the guy right before the end guy.

My advice is to be sure you have all the other quests with the street sweepers, so you don't have to go back, and for goodness sake, dont forget about the little cat before you leave!

If you see me on (Tabitha Ravenheart), dont hesitate to ask for help!

Aaaack! How long does it take for that darn shop in Krok to open? i've been waiting for a half hour! All but the very top glyph has been lit this whole time!

if anyone is planning a Grubb run, let me know. its the only wizard city quest i have in my book and i'd love to get it out of there. i can do it anytime on the weekend,

also where is everyone getting those cool pets from i can't find them ?

There is a "hidden shop" that only opens once an hour, or something. It finally did just after I posted! LOL!

If you are waiting on the secret shop, be sure to cycle through the realms because it doesn't seem to always open at the same time across the realms.

Thanks to Padric "Ice" again! And the ever-present Marcus Spellblade, my cohort in monster fights, it seems. With their help, and a relatively new friend, Melissa Jade(something), she and I have finished saving the Emperor.

Padric suggested I don't visit Professor Ambrose for the Dragonspire key until the next update, though. And thanks to him and his friend, Jack Frost (great name!), I earned the blade/wand for Life wizards from defeating the "Defiler" guy in Village of Sorrows. Over and over and over again. Whew.

We are getting to the end of beta now, and I am going on vacation so it's kind of ended for me until the Launch. Decided to take some space here to talk a few issues as we get ready for the real deal.

FORCED TEAM PLAY & DIS

Remember when you first went to Marleybone and couldn't belive how hard it was compared to Krok? Then you went to Chelsea from Hyde Park and couldn't believe that either. Last night Amber Jadesong and I started going through Kensington Station. Same feeling. Compared to Kensington - Hyde, Chelsea and Ironworks seem easy (now). But on to my question.

Let me say that with a 8,500 point monster team you can not get through Kensington by yourself. Amber and I did get through the first two monsters (and then quit because of time). But we had to tag team it back to Regent to potion up after dying. DO YOU AGREE THAT YOU CAN NOT DO THIS QUEST ALONE? And if so, we are need the DIS board to keep going so that
we can keep scheduling quest parties and making friends.

More on the DIS board in my next message.

Well I think big ben took us over 2.5 hours to do ROFL. That is a big time committment.
I think we started at 7:50 and finished at 10:28 yup and I have done it twice so far since different members of our team got there at different points. And have to do it once again when hubby gets there since he has done it 2 already for others :)

When I got to kensington I died too many times to count a slow death as I had not defense against the life guys and each took 88 health points off time.
I did go and buy health shields and finally beat them and gave up.

I noticed you do not needthis quest to continue on to Mushoo. So do not worry if you decide not to do it. To me not worht the effort.

Ok I made it to Mushoo and thought I would start another character so I have a good idea what I like for when we are out of beta.

I have been Ice and life minor. Good combo as ice seems to get lots of health. Good when in groups so I can take a lead to get alot more hits but have life for healthbackups.

So my question is. Anyone Life/Ice

And if you are a Myth player what is a good combo for that. Thanks
