Non-Disney Online Games (Wizard 101) Quest Tips & Help Thread!

I have the quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and I'm supposed to Locate Chelsea Clock Tower. I've been all over and cannot for the life of me find it. Depending on where I am I can see it (or at least I think that's it....the very tall one) but can't figure out how to get there. Am I missing something? I assume I can't go any further until I find it because I can't find any other quests.
HELP! (please)
You get to the Chelsea Clock Tower by navigating the first several squares of Gearheads you find. That scientist dog is standing nearby (the one who wants parts from the Gearheads).

If this is the first time you've been there, you won't be able to go in. IIIRC, to complete the quest, you just have to walk up right up to the door.

Note: When (many quests later) you can go in, you should know that this is one of the few instances that will not let your friends teleport to you once you are inside. So if they don't go in with you, you're on your own.

Hey y'all! LOL! I finally started another wizard! Alura SeaDreamer is Ice/Death. I'm level 12, I've just started Colossus Blvd. and I already have half as much health, as my original wizard, and a third of the mana. It must be an ice thing.

I've only been defeated three times, so far. I had to do the last run at the golem tower, and one other boss battle twice. Now I need to defeat Lord Nightshade in the Haunted Cave. He's the first real challenge I've had.

I like this combo so far. It's more powerful, but not nearly as colorful as my Myth/Life experience!:)

Now I just need to get you guys on my list. SeaDreamer only has one friend.:sad1:

I started another wizard too..her name is Cheyenne and she is a balance/death wizard. I just finished Colossus Blvd. and Lord Nightshade today so I'm pretty close to where you are. Let me know if you want to meet up!

i dropped by and checked out the wizard duel event today, and as promised earlier, i'm reporting on what went on.

participants were greeted at the door by a staff member wearing a black witch's hat and an extremely cool black bowling shirt embroidered with the wizard 101 logo. most of the kingsisle staff were wearing these, i hope it becomes available for purchase for the general public!

guests recieved a ticket good for one round of the wizard dueling. i also picked up a paper flyer version of the ad for this event, as seen in the W101 forum announcement....and a cool flyer advertising the whole beta test in general, which is in the shape of a folded yellow parchment and sealed with a sticker resembling a wax seal. i will try to post scans of this at a later date.

there was a several-feet long graphic of the ravenwood staff, mounted on foamcore board and with the faces cut out so kids could get their picture taken behind it, though i never saw anyone actually doing that. oh and i would say the atendees were 80-90% grade school age kids and their parents. there were a few other people in the store, but it was hard to tell if they were there for the event or just regular customers.

there was a table with a few laptops set up and special high-level accounts set up for people to play in. i never got a chance, but i watched for a bit and got to see moo shu for the first time-- can't wait to get there!!!

the wizard dueling was also done on special accounts set up for the event- players got to use level 50 wizards with all spells! groups of 4 competed at once, and their game was projected on the wall for those waiting in line to watch. the prizes were printouts of concept art including the firecat and unicorn, signed by staff artists.

the wizard caricatures was also a popular table with a long line; i am assuming the guy who was drawing them is the same one responsible for the fun stick-figure type graphics on the world maps, since the signs on his table were covered in similar drawings.

another fun thing i learned about is the card game in development in conjunction with the release of W101! today they just had prototype mockup decks that appeared to be color xeroxes. but from the looks of it, you will be able to play as the ravenwood staff members. and pips are represented by physical tokens: for this event, they used small velvet bags containing different colored glass beads- like the ones people use in fish bowls or glass vases. these will be neat to collect when they come out, even if you're not a card gamer!

i talked briefly to one of the developers about a few things. he said the "report bug" button should be back on the next build, but in a different location. in the menu, i am assuming. i also asked if the instances will be any easier after release, and he said probably!! and that they are still working on balancing the game.

well that's all i can think of for now. if i remember anything else later on, i'll be sure to add it. hope this was useful for anyone who wanted to attend but couldn't make it!

PS. i'm austin lotusfist, lv23 death wizard, if anyone wants to help me defeat grubb....:rolleyes1

Woot! Glad to see this! Chelsea has been frustrating and I'm a little leary of attempting any more of Marleybone because if it! Thanks so much for the report and I hope you had an awesome time!
PS...I, too can help with a Grubb run, although if you can finagle AZCat or Dreamytime you'll be much better off. LOL!

DOH! Silly me...I was all over it....just didn't get close enough to the door to complete the quest.

I can help with Grubb. My helephant is itching to be used as I am done with Mooshu and that avatar is just sitting bored in her classroom chair. :(

Ok does anyone know where the Mander History is. I know you need to fight a boss to get it in the Chamber Of Fire

Turn right when you enter the Chamber and go to the instance room at the end of the hall. Even though it does not show a boss on the map, you can bet that the occupants of the room are not going to let you just waltz in and take the book.

Pick me, pick me! I just got Level 42, and I love my new Sanctuary spell. It boosts all health spells by 50%, and my life spells also pack a punch against those death creatures, including Grubb himself.

I'd also help you with Marleybone, if only to put off some of the Mooshu stuff for a while. :) I found that a lot of Marleybone was pretty tough to handle. Gearheads LOVE to drag me into a battle! :rotfl2: I'm willing to help.

I need to thank BOTH Padrics for helping me out in Mooshu yesterday. Padric 'ice' was there a LONG time while I went through two lands. And Padric 'fire' is always there if I have a boss battle.

Are the developers finished with Mooshu? Before the update I was at a stand still because I had nothing to do there. Everything I could do was done and couldn't get into a few places. Then , I came back last week from a trip to MA for my DS 18th Birthday and discovered the update. Glad I could share the "wonderful" rainy Florida weather with all of you Bostonians. I was able to do some and now I'm suck again with nothing to do. Any ideas? :confused3 I really love playing this game, but it's frustrating when there's nothing to do. Yes, I know it is in Beta so I know there's more to come.

You can 'complete' Mooshu now. It sends you back to the Headmaster to open Dragonspiel, but that land isn't open. You also see that the connection hinted about between the Myth Teacher (boohiss) and Malistare is more than just conjecture.

So enjoy Mooshu! It really is a great land, especially after Marleybone (by far my least favorite of the lands).
