Non-Disney Online Games (Wizard 101) Quest Tips & Help Thread!

I hit level 22 today and after collecting my WOOT FROG, i went and picked up my skeletal pirate card. I started thinking... You experts still swear by the stick to one secondary school?

I have to tell you, I cant see when i would ever use a 5 pip spell that is not relying on my power pips to get me to 5. I have to wonder if spreading your points around to maybe a 3rd school doesnt have its advantages

where am i missing the strategy?

Aengus I love that spell and our ninja pigs!

I'm sorry if this was already discussed, but I was wondering if when Beta ends, do we lose our accounts or do we just have to pay? And does anyone have a timetable for when this could happen?

Anyhow, I love the game and am currently level 15.

I'm seriously debating that, too. I didn't use my last training points on my myth second school for Time of Legend, because I can't imagine waiting for all those pips to come up. Since I'm Life, I am thinking of adding death. I have three training points, and I'm sure the Spirit Blade and Spirit Trap will be helpful if I mixed in some Myth and Death into my spells, especially now that I'm seeing lots of Life creatures in Mooshu.

I really like my Life wizard, though. I managed to get through two obligatory "street battles" in Grubb, along with Paulson on my own last night! I needed help with the multiple tower guy and Grubb, though. I actually HAD to do Grubb in order to start a quest from Moolinda, my Life teacher. I won't actually GET the spell until I finish a temple in Shoshun Village, which means completing LOTS of other quests, I'm sure.

And once I get that last collectible oyster for Prospector Zeke, I'll have a fourth training point.

I think I'm either Level 38 or Level 39 now.

2 pieces of information...
a) You will either find in a drop or be able to purchase a wand that gives you an extra pip.
b) Wear power pip clothing and extras.

I didn't find my extra pip wand in Marleybone like my friend did (she got it from Smokey I believe). I had to wait to purchase mine in Mooshu. I usually go into my fight with 2 power pips so all you have to do is trap and go for the next round. I have clothing and jewelry on which give me 2007 health, 321 manna and 40% power pips. :wizard:

My second school is fire. And I did use my Helephant spell a few times. In Mooshu, some monsters are pretty resistant (even immune) to some schools. So strong spells in another school help a lot i think.

My first school is death. It would have been very difficult against the death immune Oni in the Tree of life.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. With the higher level bosses being totally immune to things thrown from their own school having a high second school is essential. Yes you can purchase gold cards, at a very high gold cost, but only your own schools can you "Monster" for that added damage or "Keen Eye" for added accuracy.

I was very lucky in Moo-shu that I only came across two bosses immune to Fire. Even still, having that Life Centaur, bladed, trapped and Monstered was essential for winning those two fights. And just the opposite for the Life Bosses when I was throwing my Helephants all doctored up for maximum damage. :wizard:

When the game goes live you get to start over. If you go to the Wizard 101 forums you will see many threads about this. The developers ran a poll asking if we would pay 9.99 a month to play a while back. Some people want the monthly fee and others want to have free basic and pay for a premium account, etc. It appears, from what the developers have posted, that they are planning on a monthly fee, but who knows?

We will find out very soon!

There is no way you can be out of quests. Did you do all the people in Old Towne who send you to Tritan, Cyclops, and Firecat Alley? Did you start the Golem Court quest?

Anyone with an "!" or "?" has something for you. You need to check.

What I read from all the discussion and the survey it will be $9.99 per month but gives you 2 accounts. They have already given me 2 accounts, btw. I play and was able to get another account, under my email address, for my nephew. I control his account through their main page and my log-in.

Personally, I would rather have $4.95, similar to the other games available to play, and only one account. If I want to have 2 accounts, then I would pay for 2 accounts.:wizard:

Yes, it is easy to find, in the corridors on the other side of the dig site.

Well, it used to be there a few updates ago...

I found the higher level I got, the more powerful spells you have to use. Once you get into Marleybone and Mooshu you'll start facing enemies with A LOT of health, around 2000HP (there are even a few in Mooshu that have around 7,000!). You really need to have some hard hitting spells that take 5-7 pips to cast, otherwise you'll never be able to do enough damage and you won't be able to outlast them.

I hardly even load my lower 2-3 pip spells in my deck anymore. It's all about using traps and charms to make your spells more powerful and to build your pips so you can use those big spells. By the time you get your traps, charms and shields up, you'll have alot of pips to cast those big spells. So it's better to have as many 5 or more pip spells as possible, even if not from your own school.
