Non-Disney Online Games (Wizard 101) Quest Tips & Help Thread!

Noticed a major change last evening on Cyclops Way to the way they handle boss battles there.

I had trouble with Eyus Maximus and asked Padric (AZCat) to help me. We both entered the tower at the same time and there were 4 enemies to fight there (when I entered by myself earlier there were only 2). The same thing happened with General Akilles.

I would suggest 3 hints to help with this:
- Since there can not be more than 4 enemies, ask 2 or 3 other players to help you out and make sure to be friends with at least 1 of them (best to all be "friends").
- Be sure all players potion flasks are full. Since the enemies seem to predominantly target the first person to enter the battle that person could die and using the potion to recharge quickly and then getting back in the battle might mean a win.
- I have not tested this, but entering the tower alone and having your friends come to you might give you the lowest number of enemies to fight.

Does anyone have a child who plays this game? My daughter, age 12, would like to find someone to play with. Actually, a friend who won't delete her. She had a friend on her list but they deleted her. She had several before the reset but can't find them again. She is a level 14. I think she is tired of playing with clueless mom.

Have to admit I am liking playing from scratch. Yes, it is a bit harder than last time, but it has been well worth it in credits and the outfits that you do not get by 'jumping up' to Krok.

I has taken me 2 days to get to level 15, which isn't bad as I am not playing that much. Only thing left in Wizard world is Grubb which I couldn't beat until I was level 20 last time anyway (so-oooooo not rushing that quest along...).

I probably pass by you Dis ppl all the time, but don't know your titles. If you see me "Shelby", please let me know. Love to have some dis'ers on my list.

Does anyone have a child who plays this game? My daughter, age 12, would like to find someone to play with. Actually, a friend who won't delete her. She had a friend on her list but they deleted her. She had several before the reset but can't find them again. She is a level 14. I think she is tired of playing with clueless mom.

My son is playing an avatar of mine (boy) so he can play while waiting for his acceptance. He is Malorn DeathHaven, so if she sees him tell her to click on him. Saying that, however, he is leaving Monday for Daytona with our Church youth group and won't be coming back home until Friday.
Or just send me her name in a pm and I'll try to get her on his list sometime this weekend.

congrats! I have never managed to get on the high score list of any of them.

that would make a great guide, but they dont want us posting pictures yet so I guess you have to learn to recognize the magic symbols, then you can tell what the clothing will help you with.

Off the top of my head, here are some of the more common symbols.

+number MAX with a red crystal ball -- You will increase the maximum amount of health you can carry by that amount
+number MAX with a blue crystal ball -- You will increase the maximum amount of mana [magic energy] you can carry by that amount
+number (for example:+3) with a Magic symbol and a Fist -- If you cast that particular type of magic spell, you will inflict that many extra points of damage on your opponent.
+percentage (for example:+2%) with a Magic symbol and a Shield -- If you are attacked with that particular type of magic spell, you will resist a percent of the damage.
+percentage with a Magic symbol and a Target -- The chance of successfully casting a particular type of magic spell has been increased by that percent.

Notes: Some clothing/items do multiple things (for example: add health plus shield from damage). Some can only be used once you reach a certain level and/or belong to a specific school. Also, the benefits gained by the different items is cumulative; if, for example, your hat increases your maximum health by 20 and your robe boosts it by 30, you will see an overall increase of 50.

Generally, I tend to equip myself with clothing/items that increase my health/mana. If they also provide a shield, boost the damage I inflict, or increase my accuracy, that’s even better. But I rarely opt to wear something that doesn’t have a red and/or blue crystal ball if I can help it.

I will start at the beginning. What do you think of a Myth-Life comination?

I'm Myth/Life and it can a bit challenging but I like it. They added a Cyclops Minion for Myth so it's great for the Boss battles. I loved my Troll, which you still get, but the Cyclops can cast Sun Bird and Storm Shark!
