Witz Lanyards

Has anyone used the Witz See it Safe lanyards at Universal? Were they annoying to wear since they're a bit thicker/sturdier? Can they scan through the hard plastic and can you take them through the metal detectors?

Yes, not really, yes, and yes.

They were recommended to me by bumbershoot, and worked well. They scanned through as long as the ticket and express pass were aligned correctly so the seam did not interfere. They are not metal and you can tuck them into your shirt on rides.

I replace "not really" with "not at all".

I like the extra heft of the case because I KNOW my stuff is still there. We've had experiences with the soft pouches from Disney breaking, and because they are so light you don't necessarily know.

I also saw the recommendations here, and I bought one a couple of years ago. I still use it to carry my park ticket and express pass facing out. Then in between, I put my ID, credit card, and cash. Drop it down my shirt when on a ride. It works great.

I also saw how much everybody liked it and ordered mine this week. I got it in the mail yesterday It's the perfect size for my ID and all that fun stuff. I can't wait to use it.

Before each vacation, I give it a quick waterproof test... I fold a paper towel and place it inside. Close it up and hold it under water a couple of minutes. Dry off the outside, then open it up and check the paper towel for any water. The seal on mine hasn't failed yet, but considering the price, I'd have no problem getting another one of these when the gasket eventually does fail.
