With split stay can you use refillable mug at both resorts?

The actual policy is that it's good for the length of stay at the resort you purchased it from.

Personally, I think it should be "length of stay", period.

Agree!!! WDW really doesn't address split stays.

If you are on the DDP you'll get new mugs for both stays.

*Now I'm gonna get flamed... but if I bought one at the first resort, I'd just bring it to the other and use it there.

Back when we did our split, it wasn't even an option, because the mugs were resort specific, and even though I'd save the money and do what I said I'd do now, I'd rather buy a 2nd one, because I really loved those ones.

I still have my WL and AKL mugs in my desk at work, and use them daily!!!

I think the intent is for you to be able to use them for your length of stay (at WDW... I don't think they considered split stays since split stays are not the norm) I personally don't see a problem with this ... as long as you purchased it for this trip and not brought one from a previous trip.

I checked into the Boardwalk today and bought my kids the refillable mugs and was told I can use them at any resort during our stay. We're doing split between Boardwalk and Saratoga. I didn't ask, this is just what the CM told me when I was paying.

We are also doing a split stay, and have the dining plan for both resorts - one free dining and one quick service. I wasn't sure if we would get mugs at both resorts, or if since we are the same people, we would just get the one set. But I don't think we will bother, because there are 9 of us....18 mugs would sure take up a lot of room!

You could always get the mugs from the second resort and find families that don't have them and give the mugs to them.

Ya know...one year we went to Disney with my family and the CM at the counter at POP actually told us that you are allowed to bring them back each year!!!!! We had saw another family with a different design than ours and one of my kids liked their design better so I asked the CM where I could get the one they had, and she said "That was last years design. We don't sell them like them". So I said "oh your allowed to bring them bach each year?" And she said "ABSOLUTELY". I didn't know until reading disboards that the lady had no clue what she was talking about! Its just funny to me how you can get 10,000 answers to one question while at Disney!

Just read the rules right on the side of the mug. CMs aren't know for providing the right information all the time.

Not sure what Disney's official stance is on this one, but if we do a split stay we use the mugs from the first resort for the entire trip.

We are doing a split stay between 4 resorts later this month and I can't imagine Disney would require a new purchase of mugs at each resort. We'll be one night at AKL, 3 nights at CBR, 3 nights at YC, and one night at BWV. That would be a whole lot of mugs if we had to purchase a set of 4 each time we move. Of course there is also the option to forgo the mugs altogether if Disney insists a new mug be purchased at each resort during the same trip.
