With LeCellier going to 2TS, what will be the next "have to have" ADR?

I was just reading about LeCellier becoming a 2TS dining experience and the thought processes behind it including how many guests are turned away due to it's low capacity and enormous popularity.

I've gone over my ADRs at least 100 times since I started planning this trip over six months ago and I booked some of the more popular but often maligned and discussed spots including Ohana, CM and dinner at 1900PF and I see now that there's no way I can secure one of those now so I consider them a score but my big coup was securing the LeCellier ADR  and nothing else I've booked seems to have such a loyal fan base.

So it does beg the question - if LeCellier becomes a 2TS experience and that does indeed relieve the congestion, what spot becomes the "new LeCellier" ie that 1TS dining experience that becomes legendary and then claims the spot as the most coveted ADR in WDW?

Thoughts?

Le Cellier lunch will be the most difficult ADR, because lunch will still be one credit.

I would have bet the dinner popularity, at least in Epcot, will go to Rose & Crown or Hacienda just because of the fireworks views. However, I can't think of any restaurant that offers a selection of steaks for one credit, except maybe Turf Club, which is too far from the parks to be a contender. Le Cellier lunch will be jammed.

Yep, that is exactly what I was thinking....I will be making my ADRs next Saturday and the one thing we love to do is eat lunch at Le Cellier. Crossing my fingers that we get it.

I think Boma could be it! It's already popular, it's a BEAUTIFUL place, and a great bargin (I think) for 1 TS credit.

My guess is Ohana. It's already near the top of the must have ADR, so I think it will slide in as number one.

Completely agree about O'Hana...

I also don't see how changing LeCellier to 2 credits is going to alleviate any of the crowds...it certainly didn't for the California Grill. That place is always packed! :confused3

The crowds at California Grill are there for the fireworks. Some of them would probably pay three credits for the view.

I agree that Ohana is on it's way up.

Nala, what if the filet isn't on the lunch menu, do you think it will still be the hottest ticket???

Agreed also. We've actually had a harder time getting an 'Ohana reservation than one for Le Cellier for our last 2 trips!

OP, its all about the dining plans and the impact on menus and offerings. Expect LC lunch to be booked. Menus will continue to decline each year as Disney continues its affordability programs which include the dining plans. Especially at non-signature TS restaurants. Surprisingly, based upon what we are seeing with LC, Disney is elevating TS restaurants to signature status based on volume of guest, rather than quality and service.

I ate at Le Cellier for one credit. It was a great meal. I do not feel it is worth two credits and would not eat there for two credits. I might go if I was paying OOP though.

I have no idea. I don't get the filet, so I'm sure not everyone does.

There isn't even a rumor that the filet will be removed from the lunch menu yet..

From what I understand, both the menu and seating will be revamped to make it more in line with other signature restaurants. I am looking forward to seeing the new menu and hopefully trying it out next Sept. We stopped going a few years ago due to the crowded seating and lackluster steaks.

Very interesting topic OP !

I won't hazard a guess for #1 "must have" although I believe the debate for 'Ohana seems to be a good guess.

I have always believed the "Most Coveted" ADR (though) has always been CRT... with Le Cellier a close second...

Hugs,
Mary

Is lunch for SURE 1 credit. On the disney site it is listing lunch as signature dining as well.

Yes, lunch is one credit. This is shown pretty clearly on the 2011 dining plan brochure.
