All I see is talk about home ownership, building homes yadda yadda yadda.

Hubby and I have owned our home for almost 30 years and when/if we move down south (hopefully to you-know-where) we don't WANT to buy a house.

Aren't there any townhome areas down there or is it primarily apartments or single family housing?

I want to know this too - we're thinking the same way HMG.:D

Bunches of gorgeous townhomes!!! :teeth: Are you interested primarily in the Big O, or are you considering places close by?

We're considering ALL of Florida, more the upper 1/2 though.....

Grinningghost, glad we're not the only ones!

I just sold my home down there. I know a GREAT realtor who would like to sell you a home in any part of the state. :)

There are quite a few townhomes up here in Jacksonville. There are few apartment complexes for retirees too. There is a Moose Lodge in Orange Park, they have recently built beautiful apartments on the property.

DH's aunt and uncle live here!

Their condo is beautiful, the kitchen featured on that site isn't as nice as what they have! They have a nice screened in back porch that has what is called a "summer kitchen" which I had never heard of before we visited them.

I wouldn't hesitate to consider moving to Naples when the time comes, especially with having relatives there, it should make the transition a little easier!

Neither DH nor I enjoy gardening, so a condo would be ideal for us! Either that or a townhome!
