Was wondering if need be, would renting a car and driving to Barcelona be an option?

We are now thinking of maybe leaving Paris on Thursday via Train, just in case. But would the above work in a pinch?

Or anyother suggestions. Flying would be best but we're all afraid we would be overweight with our luggage! :lmao: :lmao:

TIA

If it were me, I would stick with the train. I think the car journey would be too long and quite stressful (JMHO!) and flying is just as prone to strike action as the train, if not more so!!

But that's just my thoughts - I'm certainly not an expert in these matters. :)

Thanks Becky!

Someone here at work even suggested that we don't bother with DLP if I'm already stressing!

:furious: Not an Option! Non Disneyites just don't understand! :lmao: :lmao:

*Gasp* NO!!!! As you say, some people just don't get it!! :confused3

I'd concur it is a long journey to think about driving to Barcelona. Just under 700 miles :sad2:

Hopefully you'll be fine :goodvibes

You should be fine with the train. I know the strikes are a pain. Fortunately most TGV run even on strike days. Plus you could always go the next day if your train is canceled and rerouting is not possible.

I was in Paris this week and there was a strike on Tuesday. The concierge at our hotel (in the city, not a DLP) told us that the metro and bus systems (in fact all public transport) would be down that day but they were actually all up and running. I think it just depends on the day. I'd stick with the train.

Thanks Everybody! Plus as it turns out even though we are suppose to board on Saturday, if we don't arrive in time, then we can still get on the Ship on Sunday!

The Magic doesn't leave until Sunday night!

So it looks like we will stick with original plan and stay until Friday!

Wish Us Luck!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

It sounds like it's going to be a wonderful trip!!! :Pinkbounc

The government has pulled the law so the strikes should peter out soon and I dont think the trains will go on stike again at least in the near future. Until they are angry about something else anyway :)
