With a passport, do you still need to carry your driver's license? Can we get on and off the ship with just our passport and KTTW card?

Yes, as long as you have photo I.D. which a passport is...you will be fine with that and your KTTW card.

Obviously, if you are renting a car in port somewhere I am sure you would need your DL.

They actually don't recommend carrying your passport when you leave the ship. You get cleared through/immigration customs on the ship and then just need to carry a photo id and KTTW card. Of course, if one chose to use the passport as a photo ID one could do that.

Last year when we went through customs in the Bahamas (went to Paradise Island) they said passports were going to be required. Is this true or is a certified birth certificate still sufficient?

I don't step foot on foreign soil, or even travel domestically without my passport these days. It just seems to be the prudent thing to do.
