We had b-fast at Whispering Canyon. DH and I had the Grizzly (eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, biscuit) DD had the Humprey's which is basically the same except it had 2 instead of 3 eggs and DS had Lil Mike's Flapjacks. Whispering Canyon was very nice, the food was good and the atmosphere was fun! Ummmm just don't ask for the ketchup unless . . .oh, go ahead and ask, you'll see what happens
After b-fast we got on the bus to AK. We waited approximately 10 minutes and we shared this bus with the GF.
AK was not extremely crowded. There was only a 10 minute wait on rides. We forgot our ponchos because DH said "it's not looking like rain today" HA!!
Skies turned gray and POURED!! People with ponchos were getting wet . . .we stood underneath an overhang . . .
During the rain stoppage we hurried over to Kilamanjaro Safari and Dinosaur. We did both the walking trails, triceratop spin, primevil whirl, went over to Rafikki's Conservation Station and met up with some characters there. Basically we spent all day at AK . . .I felt like we were commando touring . . .
After leaving AK we headed back to WL to go swimming. We decided to head over to MK after grabbing dinner at Roaring Forks. This time we got fruit and chicken wraps. Didn't want to overdue it on the burgers and fries.
Before viewing the fireworks at MK we rode the race cars and then staked out a great spot over by Plaza Pavillion to watch the fireworks.
We stayed over in Tomorrowland until we felt the huge crowds were heading out and walked over to the Confectionary and bought fudge (mmmmmmmmmm) and the kids made their own bags of different colored m&m's.
Getting back to WL was a nightmare! It took 5 ferry's before we actually got on one and we then had to go to Fort Wilderness for a drop off first . . .I found that most of the crowds waiting for the ferry or buses were from Fort Wilderness. We finally got back to our room just before 12am and fell fast asleep.
Day 3 on the way . . .
