Thought I'd wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving before the blizzard hits ...
CLEVELAND, Updated 12:25 p.m. November 23, 2005 -- An Alberta Clipper will dive into northeast Ohio Wednesday.
A lake-effect system will move into the area, and a warning will be in effect from 4 a.m. Thursday to 5 p.m. Friday.
This is expected to become a major lake-effect snow storm.
There will be potential for numerous accidents, stranded cars, and drifts in excess of 6 feet. Motorists should be prepared for heavy snow and hazardous driving conditions on Thanksgiving, according to the National Weather Service.
In addition to the snow, there will be wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph, which will produce near blizzard conditions at times, officials said.
