I followed you over from Suzi and Mo's PTRs... :)

Now to go catch up...

D~

Thanks for joining in! The more the merrier! :thumbsup2

Hey! Im shun! Just wanted to sey hey and join you. It is no problem at all that you started your PTR early, I did the same! It so great that you all are going to see beauty and the beast! I so want to it, i still haven't seen the lion king and it was in Georga a few years ago and has not been back! Anyway, Enjoy!:cool1:

Welcome! Glad to have you along. Sorry for the delay welcoming you to the party....life gets in the way sometimes!!! I am getting ready to do my update on Beauty and the Beast...so stay tuned! popcorn::

OK - so this is my opinion... SInce you are staying at DVC during F&W - it's imperative that you find somene who owns DVC at BCV or BWV if you want to stay there - I have heard that you NEED that 11 month booking window to stay at any of the Epcot resorts during F&W - and since that 11 month booking window opens soon, I would start looking asap. :thumbsup2

And, as far as BLT - that resort has never appealed to me, it's just too modern... I prefer AKV or if you are looking at monorail resorts, I would love to stay at the Poly some day too.

D~

I have heard the same thing about NEEDING the 11 month booking window to stay at BCV or BWV during F&W, but I also have a friend who owns DVC. She owns at SSR and has stayed at BWV during F&W AND is staying there over Christmas :santa: (I've always wanted to use that smilie) this year, so IDK.

Regardless, I can't book until A.) I have money for a deposit and B.) the school calendar for next year is released. Probably somewhere around January or very early February. So....around 8-9 months out. If availability rules out a resort then so be it. :confused3

I'll be giving my thoughts on resorts in an update soon.:confused3

Ahhh Beauty and the Beast! What a great way to get some Disney IRL!!! :cloud9: We usually go to Disney on Ice when it comes to town each fall, but we missed it this year since we had just plopped down $300 on tickets to a concert in December. :rolleyes1 And no...alas, said concert has no connection to Disney. :guilty:

I'm working on my Beauty and the Beast update...stay tuned! :happytv:

Disney on Ice was here back in September. I was going to take him to that, but I figured in another year or 2 Disney on Ice might still be cool :cool1:, but Beauty and the Beast certainly will be "for girls"! :rotfl:

you mean usual suspects?:lmao:

Hey now....be nice...I'm a perfect angel. :littleangel:

I can see that my "prescence" is probably needed here to supervise since I am definitely the oldest of this group. :lmao::lmao:

But surely not the most innocent... :scratchin

D~ <--- Who should probably be doing the supervising.

WOW, there is some SERIOUS threadjacking violations going on here, ladies...I cannot even remember whose thread this is... :rotfl2:

I have never threadjacked in my life. :confused3

D~ <--- Who's pretty sure it's Suzi and Kathy's fault. :scratchin

Don't let D fool you; she may appear sweet, but.......;)

But... ????

D~ :rolleyes1

OMG...you ladies are totally cracking me up!!! Thanks for the entertainment! :rotfl2::lmao::banana::laughing:

Sorry for the delay in updating...however I see you have all been keeping yourselves entertained! :hyper::worship::yay: It's good to know that if I get tied up that you ladies won't miss me at all! :confused3:lmao:

So...last Wednesday I took my mom and Caden to the Beauty and the Beast Broadway Musical. We had a great time...despite being SUPER SLEEPY by the time it was over! Here's a few pics from before the show and the view from our seats:

DSCF1138.jpg

The view from our seats...high up but GREAT view!

Act 1 was about 90 minutes, then there was a 20 minute intermission, and then Act 2 was about 45 minutes. At intermission I told Caden it was a break and he said "I wish it was just the end already!" :worried: Poor little guy was having trouble sitting for that long...but he was enjoying it. :thumbsup2

I thought the first act drug on for a little bit and could have been shortened. Of course...I LOVE all things Disney, but the story line was stretched out much more than necessary. I found myself thinking "Get on with the story already" :rolleyes1 Act 2 however was SPECTACULAR!! The actors were wonderful, the music was just dreamy and the choreography was superb! I'm totally glad I spent the money to take Caden.

The show was over around 10:15. I had to drop my mom off at home and Caden and I didn't get home until about 11:15. Needless to say we were both exhausted and would be dragging the next morning. (Caden usually goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00). On the way home I asked him if he liked it and and what his favorite part was. His response: "Yeah, I liked it. My favorite part was the end when it was over!" :lmao:

Despite the "being tired", it sounds like a lovely evening. Your son is too funny..."I liked it and my favorite part was when it ended." Out of the mouth of babes. :lmao::lmao:

Man, I need to come over here more often to referee these ladies! :faint:

Beauty and the Beast sounds like an amazing night! :cloud9: You know what I thought about when you commented on the first act dragging on? "Man, are we spoiled by the B&B show at Hollywood Studios or what?" :rotfl2:

Man, I need to come over here more often to referee these ladies! :faint:

Referee??? :rotfl2: Referee???? :confused3 Seriously???? :stir: It seems that you start everything around here... you duck out before everything gets serious... Then you come back to "referee"...:dance3:

I just stopped by to defend myself and wish you a Happy Halloween!

Thanks! I totally LOVE Tigger! Perfect! :thumbsup2

Despite the "being tired", it sounds like a lovely evening. Your son is too funny..."I liked it and my favorite part was when it ended." Out of the mouth of babes. :lmao::lmao:

Sometimes I really wonder where he comes up with some of the things that come out of his mouth! :confused3

D~

It really was...I'm definitely glad I took him! :)

Can he be any CUTER?!!?!?

Awwww....thank you!

This sounds like a lot of fun.. Sorry it dragged!

It wasn't as bad as I might have made it sound...I might have been a little too critical initially. We really did like it. I was just TIRED!

I'm eager to get into the nitty gritty planning for our trip, but I can't seem to get the ideas from my head onto paper! Must be a PEBCAC error! (For those that don't know PEBCAC is Problem Exists Between Chair And Computer) :lmao: Yes....I know...GEEKY! :surfweb: I can't help it...I live with an IT geek!

I did renew my subscription to Touring Plans a couple days ago. I absolutely LOVE that site. It was spot on for our Oct. 2011 trip. I used the crowd calendar and park recommendations to pick our park days. I didn't always choose the Best Park, but I did AVOID the "Park to Avoid" parks. I also used a couple of the sites pre-made touring plans as a guide to create our own customized plans. We followed them almost to a T...just a little flexibility! I also used the Lines App on my phone while in the parks and it was VERY helpful. :thumbsup2 I am so excited to use the site again.

If you remember our dates are tentatively Sun. Oct. 13 - Fri. Oct. 18. Our dates will be chosen strictly on Fall Break for the school I work in. Somehow...I failed to realize that Columbus Day falls on Mon. Oct. 14 in 2013! :scared1::scared1::scared1: Seriously...how did I not know this? I'm a little bummed. Has anyone been there for Columbus day...or the weekend before? How much heavier are the crowds than say...a week later in October? Touring Plans has an overall crowd prediction for Sun. Oct 13 as a 9.2 out of 10!!!!:scared1: The crowd predictions drop considerably after that, but OMG!

Anyway...I hope to start laying out some basic plans over the next couple weeks. This trip will be Wayne's 2nd (my 7th) so we both have some must do's as well as some things we can leave out.

In other news...I have to share a super cute project Caden had to do for school. He was given a turkey (NO...not a real one...a construction paper one:rotfl2:) and his task was to disguise the turkey to help him make it past Thanksgiving. After creating a disguise he had to write a description of the turkey's disguise from the point of view of the turkey. It was titled "I am not a turkey!" Here is his disguised turkey...

20121106_115644-1.jpg

What better disguise for a turkey than a MOUSE! :lmao:

His writing said: "I am not a turkey. I am Mickey Mouse and Disney World is my home." I absolutely LOVE this kid! He is definitely MY CHILD...Disney crazed to the core! :smickey:pluto::tink::goofy:::MinnieMo:donald:

Can't help on Columbus Day as we've never been.

I just have to tell you that is THE BEST turkey I have ever seen. Way to go Caden. :thumbsup2

We have never been for Columbus day either... All I know, is if I can survive Spring Break... That weekend should be no problem. :)

I love that turkey - adorable!
