I know this is a weird question but can you partially view Wishes and hear the music from boat ramps or monorail stations outside of the MK? We are taking a couples getaway and not planning to go to the parks. I can't however, imagine being in Disney and not seeing Wishes. Do I have to spend $80 dollars on a park ticket to see it? I don't need to see the whole thing perfectly, just hear the music and view fireworks in the sky. We are having dinner at the GF one night and I thought we could take the monorail to the MK entrance. Any suggestions? Thanks!

We watched it in May from the TTC (I think that's what it is....the main big parking lot...right?) Anyway, we LOVED watching from there!!!! Gorgeous view!!

You will get a better view from across the lagoon but you will not be able to hear the soundtrack. The poly beach is good for this. If you book narcoose's or 'ohana or california grill for dinner at the time wishes is supposed to go on, they dim the lights in the restaurants and pipe the soundtrack in. It might be worth the cost of a romantic meal.

If your going to the gf, the best place to watch is over by narcoossee's. They pipe in the music there and will have a great view. I would not recommend going to the mk gate. I don't think you will have a good view there.

I just booked for earlier in the evening but will try to change it to later. thank you for the suggestions. I really thought I was going to get flamed!;)

The dock behind Narcoosees is a great place to watch! They play the music on the deck and the electrical water parade goes by. Maybe you can have a few drinks at the bar if you dont want to do dinner. But the dock is near the resteraunt, the resteraiunt itself has a porch for customers to go out and view. The California Grill also has a nice deck you can go out to watch and the food is fab. I think it would be a fun date night to go out to dinner and watch the fireworks. :)

We watched the 4th of July fireworks from there - got off the monorail from the MK and walked down toward the ferry dock. It was a great view but you could not hear the music at all.

I think that the Poly beach is the best for a great view plus music. The dock at the GF is good too but you're off to the side so the fireworks aren't centered. Although at both of these the music isn't very loud at all and if there are people talking you may not be able to hear it very well.
