It was posted on the resorts board that FW has a wagon ride which stops to watch and pipes in Wishes for the 4th of July. Does anyone know anything about tickets, time, and location of this. Has anyone out there done this? My first time posting to the Camping Board!

Welcome to the camping board.

I have read several times about watching the fireworks from the wagon ride. However, I have seen the fireworks from the beach many times and have never seen the wagon around. I am curious about where the wagon goes to watch the fireworks. Does it just stop on the road and let people off to walk out on the beach to watch maybe? Also, if they can pipe in the music for wishes for the wagon ride why don't they play it on the beach for everyone to enjoy?

We have never seen Wishes on our hayride . . .the Electric Water Pageant is viewed during the 9:30 ride, as it passes the FW beach around 9:45p.

I'm not sure how the 7:00pm wagon ride would catch Wishes. Maybe it goes back to the beach at 8p on nights when Wishes are at 8pm.

Questions:

You do not get out of the wagon.

You line-up at the hitching post across from Pioneer Hall. They take your money (~$8)at boarding on a first come basis. They start boarding 15 minutes before.

It is the one night during our stays that we let the kids stay-up late!

what do you see on the wagon ride at night? If it is dark is worth going on a wagon or carriage ride?

Is wishes after the campfire? My kids really want to go to the campfire.

In the summer, Wishes generally starts at 10:00. I'm sure the campfire would be before that, but I don't know the time for sure.

We saw the fireworks from the wagon ride two summers ago. We went to the 7:00 (or is it 7:30?) Hoop Dee Doo. When we walked out of the show, the wagon was right there in front. We had time for a quick restroom break and it was time to load the wagon. It is a real horse-drawn wagon. We rode through the campground for a while and then went down to the beach. The area where we were was not open to the public as it was kind of grown-over with weeds and stuff. I've never been to the campground during the day so I can't really say where we were. We stayed on the wagon and watched the Electrical light Parade. Then about 5-10 minutes later a truck pulled up behind us and played the fireworks music (this was the Fantasy In The Sky show). It was a really enjoyable way to see the fireworks and I would highly recommend it. I don't remember the actual times but it was in July so I know the parks were open late.
