We are planning a family gathering for middle of May. There will be 14 total (10 adults, kids ages at the time 8, 3, 2, 6 months).

I am assuming the boats hold the same amount of people so I will need to reserve 2 boats.

Which cruise would be easier to reserve? Which cruise is more spectacular? I want to really give everyone a big treat and try to book one of the cruises. HELP!!!!

Bump!

Has anyone ever been on an illuminations or wishes cruise that can give me some insight?

The wishes cruises seem to easier to reserve. But I've only done the illuminations and I love it. When you call 90days out at exactly 7am EST with at least 100 phones dialing...you might get a chance at illuminations.....LOL

Seriously it is the same phone number so if you get lucky you might get an illuminations cruise...

Hi Roxann,
We were lucky enough to receive an offer to share an Illuminations Cruise with another DIS family during our upcoming trip (only three weeks to go!). I'll let you know how everything went when we get back.

Lisa :D

Lisa,

Good for you guys Let me know how your trip goes when you come back! Not much longer now!

If I had a choice, I'd go for Illuminations. You are close to the show. Wishes you are far away.

I did the illuminations cruise Oct '03 and I've been lucky enough to get one for next week - can't wait. We all thoroughly enjoyed the illuminations cruise and are really looking forward to next week. I'd absolutely recommend the illuminations cruise to everyone.

How difficult will it be to try for not one but two illuminations boats?

I am hoping not impossible!

Ok which is better illuminations or wishes cruise.....where do you get info for reservations for al of this?

I have never been on a Wishes cruise (but I'm hoping to do so in February!). However, I have been on several Illuminations cruises, and they're fantastic. It's great to get a stress-free viewing of the fireworks and not to have to fight the crowds to get back out of the park afterward.

The pontoon boats are limited to 12 people, so you would have to reserve two. Getting two probably won't be easy, since there is only a limited number. But give it a try! I have seen multi-boat groups before, so I know it's possible.

You can make reservations for Illuminations and/or Wishes cruises by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.

I called and there is no openings for either, so I was hoping if someone had to cancel or any reason give me a heads up::MinnieMo
