Just wanted to start this fun thread. We recently returned from a trip to WDW. It was intended to be a job hunting trip, but we had a little fun too. We got to see WISHES several times and it made us so happy. Other magical moments included the feeling I got everytime my 4.5 yr old DD thanked her bus driver, or when we got to ride in the front of the Monorail, or when Disney Security came out at 2:20 am to let me in to walk my dog, then helped me clean up the mess from an upset doggie tummy...

Anyway, we felt LOTS of magic!!! And I am not saying all of this to brag, but we were able to return the magic.

We were at dinner one night, and we were sitting near an adult couple who had just gotten married. When Wishes went off, they (he first) began to cry. They told us that this was their wedding song a week earlier.

On the spur of the moment, we made a decision. We told the waitress that we wanted to secretly buy their dessert.

It made us feel great and they would never know it was us.

What have you done to share that Magical feeling? Share something you have done for someone. Maybe it will give others ideas to share the magic while they are in the parks. Did you do something nice for someone while you were in the parks? Help reunite a separated child with their parents? Remind someone to take their bags from a bench?

Share the magic you shared with someone else!

A friend that teaches 2nd grade with me is going to Disney World the first week of March. I don't know who is more excited , her or me for her.

I got autograph books for her, her friend, and her 2 nephews and explained what they were for. Now she is really excited!

Our grade level went Disney shopping for a new Disney outfit for her to take on the trip too!

It is so fun to make others happy and see the magic about Disney. I can't wait to go and make others happy.

I haven't been yet, but this is exactly why we are going! It is the magic and the wonder!

I've only done one thing, but it left such a memorable, positive feeling. I was walking by a little girl about to trade pins with a CM. The little girl was so excited that the CM had the pin she really wanted. I noticed that I had the exact same pin on my lanyard, so I took it off and just gave it to the little girl saying something like, "maybe there's something else you like too". The little girl and her mother, looked so pleasantly surprised! It was a great feeling to see the look on her face.

I remember being in WDW in Nov. and on more than one occassion---we would be in line and a few children near us would be tired or impatient and i would ask them to tell me about what characters they saw or what their favorite thing had been so far. It helped pass the time for them, the parents , me and my kids too. Something small--but aren't we all there for the same reason!

Great magical sharings everyone!!!

And doesn't it make you feel good all over again to share your sharings with us?! :)

More!!! More!!!!

I think that every employer should send their employees to Disney at least once!!! YOu come back from a Disney trip with such kindness in your heart!! I always make time for Disney Magic during my trip.. and there are always opportunities ... if you just keep your eyes AND heart open.... learn that it's not always about you... especially being a frequent Disney traveler.. been there.. done that.. but can do a million times more... at parades I ALWAYS put the kids up front....even after I have staked out my spot for an hour eating a casey's hot dog... the joy that the kids have is just great.... :) This last trip I found a fabulous spot to watch Wishes... and told a family near us at Spectromagic whose first trip it was, where we were going.. and they followed us... it made their trip more magical.... they kept thanking me over and over... and right before the show started I noticed an older gentleman pushing his disabled daughter in her wheelchair.. and the mom was also in a wheelchair.. I don't know how he was doing it... they arrived late to see Wishes and were pretty far back... I took a look around us and figured that if everyone squished together a bit... we could fit Both of the wheelchairs up front with us... I made everyone move their chairs.. and some people were confused until they saw where I was going with this .. and then EVERYONE joined in with the effort... it was such a magical moment.... to see literally 40 people put aside their own wants and needs to help one family... Magic!!!

On our last trip my DH was really enjoying the Beck's Octoberfest beer in Germany at Epcot. At one point, a man in front of hom bought a beer and a shot (Jagermeister) and drank the shot before he paid - he quickly learned that they didn't take credit cards! He had no cash on him to pay for it and the German lady working the booth was very distraught, she told him where an ATM was and he promised that he would be back to pay her. Needless to say, that never happened. Later that evening my DH went back and asked if he had returned, which he had not, so he paid for the shot. The German lady looked so relieved!

Our magic was repaid on Halloween while my DH was standing in line in DTD to get one of the special Halloween pins and met up with a CM that needed three pins, but could only buy two. My DH only needed one so he figured he would buy an extra one for the CM. Instead, the CM pulled out a CM only pin with Donald on it. He said that he would trade one of those for the pin being sold in DTD!

It pays to be magical!

Just a few weeks ago we were at AK and had got in line early for the Tarzan show. We like to sit in the front row. DD and DH decided to take a walk and we were going to save seats for them. We were finally let into the theater and a few minutes after getting our seats in the front row and family sat down next to us. The little girl was crying, she had fallen down on the way into the theatre and scrapped her hand. She wanted a bandaid so her dad went to go ask a CM for one, I knew the CM's would not have one so I started to dig around in my diaper bag for one but couldn't find any. But I did find a bag of fruit snacks. The little girl had her head down crying and I held them up and asked her mom if it was ok to give them her and she had such a relieved look on her face. So I brought them over and asked the little girl if the fruit snacks would help and she just lit up. Needless to say she forgot all about her hurt hand. Then during the show, Turk came over to the side of the stage and was hugging my DS so I called the little girl over so she could get a hug from Turk. Hopefully her day was a little bit more magical.....even without the bandaid.

My family and I were there for the premier of Wishes on Oct 10th 2003 and were so inspired that we have talked my DH's best friend and his family to go with us in 11/04 and my DH's brother and family to join us in 04/05!! We love being in the magic and try to get there as often as possible and with loved ones its even better!!

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

This is pretty minor compared to other posts. I like to tell families to ask to ride in the front of the monorails, and also help people figure out how to use Fastpasses (it's that Guest of Honor badge--they think I work there!). I also tell at least 3 families per visit about websites--wdwinfo and mousesavers top my recommendations!

And I tear up whenever I see IllumiNations or Wishes-- now it's the "There's always April trip."

During Christmas week- (it was very busy!!) we would get fastpasses for everyone in our party, even though only 2 of us ever rode the ride (the "older-kid" rides at any rate - like Test track) - then, when we went back with our fast passes- we would give our extra fast passes to a couple walking up to the regular line ---you should have seen their eyes light up when they realized they wouldn't have to stand in a 2 - 3 hour line! I sort of believe that what goes around, comes around --and that if you spread a little magic, it comes back to you threefold!

The thing I did that week that made the biggest impact, I think- was on Christmas day - I thanked almost every cast member I came across (and gave them a mini candy cane) for coming to work on Christmas Day so we could be there for vacation (I had 120 candy canes to start with)(we went back to the hotel after a few hours, and then ventured out again after dinner - so I didn't haul around 6 boxes of them all day;) )-----I had so very many stunned and happy castmembers--- in fact one waitress at a VERY popular breakfast restaurant was so stunned that she had tears in he eyes- then she went back and told her fellow co-workers--next thing I knew, the manager was there thanking us for making his employees so very happy --and when we got our bill it "magically" had our Disney dining experience discount on it - even though there aren't supposed to be any discounts on Holidays (I ended up being the stunned one!). I was only trying to let the castmembers know how much I appreciated them being there, when I know full-well that many of them would have rather been home with their families opening presents and having a lazy Christmas morning. What a fun thread!

We were waiting for our PS at Crystal Palace and a young girl (about 8) was dressed in a Cinderella costume wearing a Happy Birthday button. I had a Cinderella pin on my lanyard for a trader, so I took it off and told her Happy Birthday Cinderella! She and her family were so surprised!!!

Everyone had such great sharings! I could feel the magic as I read through them! Thanks!

P.S. This thread *should* be hundreds of pages long!::MinnieMo

We just went in January. A really really wonderful DISer, had sent me 2 pins that could only be bought in his neck of the woods. He would not let me send him money for them. So, we decided that we woule 'pay his kindness forward'

We had several long talks with DS about how very lucky we are, and that we can go to WDW, and how lucky we are that mommy has such nice friends who will send us pins, etc etc etc.

So, at this point DS has about 35 pins total. He decided that he would give away 5 of his pins to other children who only have one or two pins on their lanyards. He poured his heart into choosing his pins, and made these other kids so happy. 4 out of the 5 families took the time to ask us what and why were we doing this. When I explained, they all promised to perform their own Random Act of Kindness.
