Hi everyone

I have heard a that the Poly Beach is a great spot to watch Wishes......is the music piped onto the beach or just a good spot to see the high fireworks?

:confused3

WE have watched the fireworks from the main beach at the Poly several times. We could sort of hear the music from MK but did not hear any piped in. We did sit by the quiet pool one night and the music was playing there but of course we could not see the fireworks.

You can see the fireworks very clearly form the main beach and we love to just grab a drink and a chair and relax. My DD even took a nap in a hammock this last trip while waiting to see the fireworks from The Pirates and Princesses party - which were incredible by the way!

You can *just* hear the music.

But with 2 Backscratchers from the Lounge in me, I didn't seem to care much.

:rotfl2:

We watched from the Poly during our August trip last year. We had dinner at the Kona, looked around the resort a little while then went out to the beach for Wishes. There are some small speakers around the beach area, but if you're not pretty close to them it's easy to miss the music.

It was nice and an interesting change of pace, but IMHO doesn't substitute for viewing them at MK.

To me, there is no place on earth to watch wishes except being right there on Mainstreet. It's just not the same from anywhere else. We didn't like watching from the poly, but if you must......its a next good choice.

We love watching Wishes from the Poly beach. We have never heard the music. Yes ... I am sure it is wonderful from Main Street but the low-key beauty of watching it from a quiet beachfront and not fighting for a good spot ... etc... just makes it better for us. :thumbsup2

If you are lucky the Electric Water Pagent is seen right before the fireworks on the lagoon. (OK ... I think I am close to getting the name of it right and I SHOULD know it by now!).

It can get chilly at times though (Feb and November it was downright cold at night so be prepared!).

Last trip we watched the fireworks from the beach. Not bad, but the music is what makes it and the Poly does not have speakers on the beach, which they should.

We also saw them from the Cali Grill and I have to say that was pretty cool.

but Main Street on top of Train station is the best.
