I just read something on Allears that lead me to believe you can view Wishes from 'Ohana? Is that true? Is there good viewing, and alot of tables with a view? Or is is just a glimpse of the top of the fireworks from a couple of tables?

When checking in you can request a window table and see Wishes. It's not as good as watching it from outside on the beach at the Poly but it is a great view and the play the Wishes music inside the restaraunt when it's time.
We have done this twice and really enjoyed it.

We thought it was a decent view. It was fun to do once but I would not do it again. Especially since the food was bad. The entertainment was good.

Yep, we did this twice this year. The first time, in March we were pretty far back from the window but we could still see the air-bursts pretty well. About 3 weeks ago we were between the open-pit grill and the window and the view was better. As I recall, they pipe the music from the show into the dining area.

We love 'Ohana. The last time we were there, we had a perfect window view. People were running up all around our table to look outside and see :thumbsup2:. So it depends on your seat.

If you watch the fireworks from the beach, can you hear the music?

You can but the volume is very low, for some reason they have not turned up the speakers very much in years. But they are there along the sidewalk. The view from the beach is terrific, much better than from inside O'hanas in my opinion.

Everyone has their own opinion on O'hana, I thought the entertainment was not to my taste, and the food was good, go figure!:thumbsup2

When we were there in August, they not only played the music, but also called the children up to the windows and dimmed the lights. It was nice! Especially with kids who are kind of afraid of fireworks.

We had a good view during Wishes from 'Ohana a few times, but to be honest, we much preferred the view from the Polynesian beach. The few times we were in 'Ohana, the lights were dimmed and music playing. However, many families who didn't have a table close by would rudely stand at the windows. Some of the children were sitting at the windows, but did not block anyone's view. So that was fine. However, it was the adults who thought that they were the only ones looking. A few times, a woman at the table beside us, kindly asked if the adults would sit down so that her children can see. They didn't until one of the waiters came and asked them stand away from the window so they wouldn't block the others. We, as many others, did remain in our seats. I guess it just takes a few selfish people to ruin it.

So, we tend to go to the beach and wait. It's also a great view for the Electric Light Parade. :thumbsup2

We did this less than two weeks ago. We were seated at 7:45, had a great server and loved our meal, and then the lights went down and the music came on and voila!

We are just two adults. We didn't ask for any specific seat, but were seated one row in from the windows so we simply turned our chairs to see. No one ran up to block us. It was a nice way to see Wishes without being uncomfortable on Main St. We also loved watching the colors change on the caste as we ate and saw bits of the electric water pageant as it went by. When it was done, our server brought us that awesome dessert making for a great evening :wizard:.

If you have seen Wishes before, which I have several times, this is really nice. If you've never seen them you'll want a better view closer up (and to see Tink come down the zip line). From O'hana the castle looks pretty small, but you can certainly see it and the patterns made by the fireworks.

You can also go over to CR and watch from the observation deck off the grand concourse - that's a closer view for sure.
