wishes from gf

is there a good viewing area at gf for wishes where they pipe in the music?? we are staying at akl, but having dinner at citricos one night at 6pm. we want to take the monorail over to mk for spectromagic at 9pm and also see wishes at 10pm but i don't know how my 2yo will do with being up that late. i thought we could start back to the gf by boat and watch wishes from there if she got too cranky. what do you recommend--will we be missing out by not seeing it in the mk???

No you won't miss out. We have watched from the Polynesian before and it is quite lovely. You can see the castle change colors and they pipe in the music. The booms are much softer too, probably helpful for a 2 year old on overload!

I agree with Vanryan. Of course if you get a really good spot IN the MK, it will seem more intense, but watching them via boat on the way back to GF marina, which is exactly where you'd want to be at GF to watch them could be very nice. I don't know if they pipe in the music on the boat back to the marina but they do pipe it in AT the marina.

So the Marina at GF is the best place to watch Wishes?? Any others?
Can you sit at the Marina or do you have to stand?

It's kind of like an inlet... if you are coming from the boat dock, you can walk back toward the hotel and there will be some tables at a patio, but not many... may be filled quickly. I seem to remember though that on the sidewalks there were places to sit, like on the edges of concrete planters? I don't recall for sure but I DO remember walking from the "patio" area outside Gasparilla Games and toward the Marina and sitting down, propping myself on something... You can see the top part of the castle and the changing colors as well as the fireworks there.
