Some April WISHES FP+s were released today-YES!

Do you think either Garden has an advantage over the other when viewing WISHES?:)

Below is a "work-in-progress" of my overview of the new Hub.
Some of the "outer" sidewalks shown have not been built yet.
Some of the unfinished areas have since been finished.
Again, a work-in-progress, all the way around.
The original photo is by Scott Keating, posted on WDWMagic.

Someone traveling in April asked Josh at Easy WDW this same question in his comments section recently. His response:

The Main Street Bypass is on the Tomorrowland side. So if you’re planning to leave after the fireworks, seeing the show on that side would it make it much easier to exit after the show because you wouldn’t have to deal with the Main Street crowds. I think the Tomorrowland side also offers a slightly better view than the Casey’s Corner side with Tinker Bell and where the fireworks are launched from.

I haven't done this yet, but my first thoughts when seeing pics of the view was I preferred the tomorrowland side. Josh makes an excellent point about ease of exiting afterwards!

Main Street Bypass... Haven't heard about this before. Any specific details on location? Open year round?

By the end of this effort, there should be bypasses behind both sides of Main Street available, so the exit reasoning will eventually become moot.

If you are referring to "this year" April, the bypass does not always open each night. Depends on crowd levels. For 2016, the East bypass will (should) be completed.

Is there a way to know before the day of for this April? We would want to try this during the week of 4/22.

Also, can you describe where it is? If I am passing the restrooms on the right past the plaza, where do I go next? And coming from the other direction, is it to the right of the Mickey meet & greet?

CMs open this when it is necessary, there is no preplanned schedule that I know of--the busiest days have the highest chance.

The route runs from the northeast corner of Town Square (left of Tony's) to between Plaza Restaurant and Tomorrowland Terrace.

The walkway from tomorrowland takes you by the restaurant The terrace to Main street. Halfway between are restrooms the shortcut is before the restrooms. Its a lifesaver...you end up right near the candy store by Tony's restaurant.

Thanks for your reply! Do the CM's open it for the day on a busy day, or just almost as a safety valve after a wishes Show?

Robo, thank you for the excellent maps!

You're Welcome!

The Main Street backstage area (at least on the Tony's <> Plaza side) is in the process of getting facelift so that it doesn't look like a
current-day parking lot, but it will be more in keeping with the "Main Street USA" look.
Right now in its current state, they don't open it unless and until the Main Street guest traffic is in danger of overload.
After the cosmetic treatment is finished, its POSSIBLE that they will open it more often.
Stay tuned.

I think of it more as a safety valve. I think it's opened as closed as needed--I'm sure Disney would prefer everyone to use MS itself as the main thoroughfare, but sometimes for crowd control it isn't feasible.
