Wishes Fastpass+ Question

I am new to the fastpass+ system but it is finally time for me to make our reservations. I booked our family a pass for Wishes but saw that the only time available was 9:40 - 9:55. That is literally right before it starts so it had me a little confused, I knew we wouldn't have to get there hours early (the point of getting the fastpass) but only 15 minutes early?

Are the fastpasses for the shows (parades/fireworks) tiered so theres people who are going in at 9:00 - 9:15, 9:15 - 9:30, etc. and I just got the latest slot because that is all that there was left? Or does everyone enter late like this?

Just wondering, any advice/knowledge is much appreciated! Thank you!

People arrive far earlier. You can enter as soon as they open the section up. I think they open Wishes 2 hours out.

But we wouldn't be able to get in until our designated time slot correct? Everyone entering before will have an earlier fastpass time?

Or do they let all Fastpass people in at the same time, which is whenever they open it?

Ignore the time slot. They let anyone with a FP in once it is open.

When I had mine last year, it was 20 min prior to show. I wonder if they open it up early and tier people in every 10-15 minutes.

Everyone can get in 2 hours prior.

Everyone is given the same return time of 9:40-9:55

Often, they will place a CM at the entrance up to 2 hours beforehand, and when they see that you have a FP booked, they will let you in no matter the time.

This happens with every attraction that has a set starting time (FoF Parade, MSEP, Fantasmic!, etc)

Very interesting I had no idea.
Well we used the return time window for MSEP and Wishes last year of 20 minutes or so prior and had perfect seating so that works for me, but good to know I can get there earlier if I am lucky to score another one this year.
