Hi guys! You have been fab at responding to all my previous queries, well here is another one.

I rang the Disney Dining number and booked BOG for lunch on the 5th April for the 7th October, which was successful- yippee! Anyway while I was there I asked the cast member on the phone when I could book the Wishes Dessert Party for the 30th September. According to her computer she could only book until the 9th September and told me to ring closer the time (in a few weeks she said). Well I've just gone online out of interest to see how far ahead I could book it and its already gone up to the 7th October, so now I've lost out.

Is anyone else struggling to book it online or is it just me? And has anyone already got a date around this time and been sucessful? I've never done it before and I wanted to surprise my fiance, as he will have proposed to me the year before when we go on our holiday.

Sorry for the long post!

Word on the street is that it's hard to book a table for two at the dessert party. Others have had success by booking for three with a "phantom child" under the age of three. There would be no charge for the child.

I was checking from180 days multi times a day for a table of two. It took me 3 weeks trying all day long to finally grab a table of 3 ( invisible child as no smaller tables available at all) . The online service has the same availablity as when you call so will save you some waiting times on the phone.

My advise, although irritating and a pain in the behind, is to Just keep checking every day at release time 6am. ( then again where possible during the day for cancellations) I've since found out from a former disney reservations lady they only release smaller tables once the bigger bookings have been filled or not had any interest .

Good Luck hope you get one
:shamrock:

Thanks for the info! I shall try for 3 people now and trust me I will be looking everyday till we go. Fingers crossed!

I'm amazed they would still book up at the new price!!!! At the old price, maybe. But that many people are really willing to pay that much??? :confused3

I was planning to do it before the price increase. Unlucky for myself it has gone up but I still haven't been and would love to do it once- it's on my disney bucket list :)

We were lucky enough to do it a couple years ago--at the old price!--and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sadly, we won't be doing it again because I just can't justify that price--no matter how I try!

Yes I'm sure this will be my first and last time doing it for this current price! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

We go every year. It's an experience. It costs money. It's Disney.

True enough, it is an experience, and it costs money and it's Disney. When it comes to Disney I am a free spender. I bought into the DVC, I do signature restuarants, and have no problem spending when there. But when they double the price of the dessert party I'm out. I'm just glad I will get to try this "experience" in June under the old price. :goodvibes

Yes, it costs money. But now it costs $50 per person! That's a huge jump from the $27 we paid a couple years ago--and not for a huge change in the event. They added a few new desserts and tablecloths.

And for $69 on Star Wars weekend at HS I can get desserts, ALCOHOL, priority seating with drinks and snacks for the parade AND a fast pass for one of the SW shows.
