Has anyone been to the Wishes Dessert Party at Tommorrowland Terrace Noodle bar ?

I have yet to see Wishes properly - just once from Narcooses and once from the station end of main street when I couldn't really see over the heads of everyone standing in front of my wheelchair.

If I book the Dessert Party, will I be able to see Wishes, or will everyone stand along the railings and block my view? Will my wife be able to move her dining chair to a good viewing spot? (She has a replacement hip and arthritis and although she doesn't need an ECV, her hip aches, especially at the end of a long day)

While I haven't been yet I have booked this for October. My mom will be in her wheelchair and the CM noted that on the reservation so I am assuming they have accomadations for that.

It would be a pity to pay the money and not be able to see the fireworks. I trust Disney to ensure that doesn't happen.

Andrew, go to the link where the party is talked about on disunplugged. The link still is on the DIS-homepage. It has some great pics, that shows you how those of us using a wheelchair should not have a problem finding a good spot to see Wishes. Actually, when reading the different reviews, it becomes clear that when all seated, everybody can see Wishes right from the table! They actually seem to really keep the groups small, so everybdoy gets a good spot, never mind if one stands, sits or whatever.

This info also agrees with what I've been told when having IPO making arrangements for us, with both me and friend using a wheelchair.

Still have to wait until 21st of september to see for myself, and somewhere early october before I will be able to post about it on here.

We actually watched Hallowishes from there in October at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Wishes from there last March before the Wishes Desert Parties began. There is quite a bit of rail space at the front of the area and everyone stayed seated during the show both times.

Just back and did the Dessert Party.
Our experience was that everyone stood at railing. No chairs were allowed to be moved there. However, there were several people in wheelchairs and an ECV who just went up to the rail as well. Most people started to stand up about 15 minutes before the show. Seemed like we had a fairly large crowd that night. It was not crowded or squishy and very comfortable.
The view was SPECTACULAR and that was what I liked best about the Dessert Party.
I just wrote a small blurb on it in the resort thread (under "just returned 12 days at Por") if you are interested.
Have a wonderful Trip!!! :wizard:
