I see that there are various seating times for the dessert party. If we have a 7:00 seating, do we leave and come back to view Wishes if it is at 10pm? What would be the best time to try to get my ADR for optimal dessert munching and firework viewing.

The seating times will only be available for the hour before your particular night of Wishes...for example if Wishes starts at 10, the ADRs will be from 9 on. There will be no earlier seatings.

That said whatever time your ADR is, the doors open for all exactly one hour before Wishes and everyone enters at the same time (well based on when you get in line). We get in line about 20 minutes ahead of time. CMs will come by prior to the doors opening, check off your name, give you a wristband and then you enter when the doors open.

Hope that helps.

My understanding is that the times don't matter. They are only there because that is how the online reservation system works. Everyone lines up and goes in at the same time.

No matter what time the ADR computer or the CM on the phone tells you, your ADR is for the one and only Dessert Party of the night which begins 1 hour before the fireworks start. Get there 10-15 minutes ahead of time to check in at the podium. They give your entire party wristbands (because if you have to use the restroom you leave the actual party area and will need re-entry) and line you up. When the party officially opens they very quickly seat all the checked-in groups and then go back for the stragglers.

You will be shown to a table that literally has your name on it. You can then immediately go to the buffet, which is now up the ramp on the middle level of the Tomorrowland Terrace. The desserts and beverages are all self-serve. CMs do come clear empty plates from your table.

If you want to move up to the railing when the fireworks start, make sure to tell the CM in your area NOT to clear the table. That way you can have a final bite and go get one last drink refill before heading back out into the park. Waiting just 10 minutes really lets the gridlock on Main Street clear out.

When did you last experience this? The reason I ask is the first time we went that is where the desserts were and it was very nice and convenient (March 1), the last two times we have been (end of March and August 17) the desserts have been on the same level as the tables in varying spots (once in the middle with tables in front and behind and last time angled in along the back wall). Both times that was just bad for different reasons...this last time at an angle was the worst though with people getting stuck in back and having a hard time negotiating the area.

I am going again the end of October and I would love to see the desserts on the higher level again!

Went first week in August and everything was on the lower level. I have been there when the tables were on the lower level and the desserts on the upper. I agree, I enjoy it better that way, but sorry as of August, no go.

June 2010 the desserts were on the lower level; May 2011 they were up the curved ramp on the mezzanine level.

I had assumed that the Dessert Party had gotten so popular that Disney moved the desserts to allow them to fit in more tables. Maybe the placement just depends on how many ADRs have been made for a particular night? Because there were definitely more guest tables in 2011 than 2010.

Ok thanks - looks like they go all over the place since I have seen three different placements. Going again end of October.
