Wishes Dessert Party; Can you Leave to see the Parade?

Just wondering---I booked this for our upcoming trip with my SIL (their first trip) b/c I know that they will like being away from the crowds. BUT---I have not seen the MSEP up close, and really want to do that too.

Is is possible to leave the dessert party when the parade gets to Main street, and then get back in time for Wishes? I know it will be packed, but, I just want to get a little closer.

Has anyone done this?

I don't see why not.You are given a wristband when you enter.I left to use the restroom and had to show it to re enter. Have fun!

You should make a decision according to your own conditions,When in doubt, just take the next small step.

You could leave and come back to the party. However, logistically, it will be a challenge. There should be no room for you to watch MSEP since those people have been staking the spots for awhile. Also, any open room for walking passages, CMs are there to make sure you don't stand around.... Also, you are going to miss most of the dessert party by doing that.

I wouldn't do it - you will miss out on most of the food! That is the prime time for the eating! When we went the food was pretty much winding down & the CM's starting to tidy things up by the time the fireworks started.

Anyone have a link for recent info on the dessert party? I'm looking for pricing and if they are having it in August 2012. I can only find 2010 info on it. Thanks
