Just booked the Wishes Dessert Party and was wondering if you have to show up right at 9 for a good spot for the fireworks at 10? Was hoping to stay in New Fantasyland with my son hitting the rides as late as possible and then slide into a great spot for Wishes. Does everyone stay at their table for the show or does everyone stand and walk to the rail? If getting there early is the way to go would appreciate the heads up. Thanks!

Hi fellow Diser, sorry I don't know. I can say you will receive great information from fellow Board members. Just give them a little time. You will receive many replies and give you some great insights on your question. If not i give you my word I will research myself and give you best information I can. Danny

When we went last year I was able to get a spot against the railing just as celebrate the magic started. If your not going for the desserts why not just FP wishes?? Mind you not that the dessert party is that great but just to spend that kind of money for wishes it may not be the best bang for your buck. And seating is pre-arranged so not first come first served :)

Unless something has changed since my visit in May, the tables are assigned according to when you book your reservations. So, the earlier you book, the better the table you will receive. We booked early, but were nearly the last in line to be seated. Because we booked at 180+ days, we were still seated near the rail. Most people move to the rail to see the fireworks. Depending on where your table is and how many people are standing in front of you, you may be able to see the fireworks from your table.

The size of your party can affect where you are seated, as well.

We always book early and get a table near the rail. We arrive for the line a half hour before. We stand at the rail for the fireworks.

Your table will already be assigned to you with your name on it. It is not first come first serve as far as seating goes. When we went, people will get up and make there way to railing to see better. We ate our desserts and then made our way to the railing for a good view. People did not remain seated when we attended last year. Have fun.

Thanks everyone! Going to have my in-laws with us so was hoping for a nice place for them to sit and watch the show. I booked first thing at 180 days out and it's my wife's 40th so hopefully they hook us up with a table on the rail. Really appreciate all the responses!!

I may be wrong, but I don't think the tables are on the rail. They are back a bit and people can/will stand between your table and the rail.

Some do. Not always.

Has anyone attended after being able to get a ressie closer to the date? We are going in November (alas, during free dining) and haven't been able to obtain a reservation. Being a party of 5 doesn't help. What are our chances for getting in between now and then?
Thanks!
