I'm a little confused by the logistics here. If everyone lines up at the same time, how do they differentiate between the 9:00 and the 9:10 at all? If we are all lined up at the same time wouldn't we all get in at the same time? Surely I'm missing something here.

When I went in 2008 (when it FIRST started) they gave everyone a little ticket with your reservation time on it. Then they went through the line at 9:00 and pulled anyone with a 9:00 ticket to enter, then 9:10, etc... When we went in 2009 they did the wristbands as a PP mentioned. I was just sharing that they have done it another way before, so it's possible. Like a PP mentioned, Disney changes things on a whim. Especially with this dessert party

Pay at time of booking. I just got mine, 5 people, 5/15, 9pm!!

IMO, no, there is not. By 8:45, there will be a line outside the entrance to the party. CMs will be putting wristbands on people in line, in order. But at 9:00 they let everyone in together, and your name is already on your table. Yes, the guests who lined up early will walk in ahead of you, but you will be right behind them. IME, there was plenty of dessert available, and no need to rush in.

I am only going by my experience, which is to arrive around 8:45. Please go ahead and line up earlier if you are worried about getting held up in line. Disney changes their procedures on a whim, so you never know what the entrance procedure will be in the future.

Congrates to everyone who has booked the Dessert Party for May, I did not update page 1 until today as I was at WDW all week. I found the wireless at the hotel to be slow at times, I think possibly due to it's wide usage at BWI as there was at least one convention going on during my stay.

I can not report back on the Dessert Party as while I had booked it for March 7th, we were so exhausted by about 6pm(after a great dinner at Tony's) and being we had to take a bus back to our resort we decided last minute to just return to our resort. I had planned to taking pictures to update the thread information but such is life when you get old and go to Disney with "Grumpy"

The guy just told me it ended in feb and they arent doing it anymore. So Im confused, are they doing them or not?

Another case of a confused CM. They are definitely booking for May. I have the bank statement proving it!

Funny you should say that though. There were reports of OTHER CMs also saying it ended in February. Where do they GET this stuff??

I called, this time she looked it up np and yep, we got in for 3. Woohoo! Im kinda surprised to get in on the same day.

We did it back in January and it was awesome!

That was me. I called one day last week to check on May and was told that they stopped in February. I just thanked her and called back and spoke to someone else. Everytime I called after that I mentioned it to whatever CM answered the phone and they all said the same thing......"we haven't been told that the Dessert Party was stopping in Feb".

Clearly, a couple of people got a memo that no-one else got!!!!

Thankfully, I was able to make my ADR for May 16th.
