Woo hoo booked this as a surprise for our party of 7 for October 3rd! And they THINK they know everything! :rotfl:

October dates are available for booking now...I just booked the dessert party online tonight for Oct.26/11!!

3 different times are offered for the dessert party, and I just wanted to know which is recommended to book?

That is a good question. I was only aware of there being 2 times since when I booked it only showed 8:00pm and 8:15pm. What is the 3rd time offered?

Since tables are pre-assigned I wonder if it has anything to do with where your assigned table will be, 8:00pm closer to the rail maybe? :confused3

I believe it has to do with how the computer system books the terrace to capacity. It has nothing to do with entrance times or table assignments. Everyone will get in for the same time - about 1 hour before the fireworks begin and it's the CM's working at the terrace that assign the seating (I've watched them doing it:)). So pick anytime they have listed - happy booking:goodvibes

Sounds logical, having never been to the Dessert Party before I was curious too.

What am I doing wrong?:headache: October 8th looks like a day that should be bookable but I've been trying since yesterday (party of 2) and it says nothing availalbe.

ETA: Oh, I think I see the deal, I put in 3 people and it comes up. Must not like my party of two.

Welcome to the Phantom Toddler crowd.

I've been checking daily for November for months now only to find out today that they are only doing 1 day in November (Nov 16th)!

AND OF COURSE its not a day we'll be there!

We love to do something special for our last night and I like to end it with the fireworks (and we try to start that way too)... Its like a mini-celebration of our trip. We've done pirates and pals twice, I was hoping to do something different and still celebrate our last evening with the dessert party this time! DARN!!! :sad1:

What do you mean they are only doing it 1 day in November? Looking at the calendar...they show the dates they are doing it and blacking out the dates they won't be?

I know that October just fully opened, and their calendar was the same. Some dates are showing and some are blacked out, dates in which they are running it.

If a CM told you they are only running 1 night of the whole month, I wouldn't listen to closely to that.

I've booked for October. This is my first. Can anyone tell me if all seats are perfect seats? Or will my 8 year old have someoen in front of him sitting that he won't see? I've never even been to the resturant. Been trying to look up more info on it, but finding very little.

So I'm hoping that someone that has done this in the past can tell.

Thanks

:lmao: Y'all are some creative DIS'ers!

Sadly, I can't take credit for the idea. I remember someone else mentioning in this thread to try a party of 3 if a party of 2 shows as unavailable.

Then, since it's a pre-paid event, I went with the toddler for person #3 since children from 0-2 are free.

Now I'm debating on if I should name our Phantom Toddler or not. The only issue is it does seem kinda creepy to name the Phantom kid who I expect to lose someplace in the Magic Kingdom that day. :confused3

Typically, everyone gets up from their tables when the fireworks start and stand at the railing - there was plenty of room for everyone when I went and the Dessert Party was sold out that night.
On a side note for those with young kids/toddlers, you will have to hold your child in your arms if they are too short to see everything because the CM's do not allow chairs near the railings.:goodvibes

Has anyone had any luck with November bookings? I read through the last two pages of the thread and I think the answer is no but just want to be sure.

Thank you!!

Nothing yet, but we have heard rumours of "any day now" up until Sept 15th so some of us are checking every day online and on the phone (the website isn't too reliable lately):surfweb:
