Was Disney Magical World gonna be a successful video game series?

I first heard of Disney Magical World when I got the game for my Nintendo 3DS and I found that it was amazing and similar to Animal Crossing. I later found out about Disney Magical World 2 when I got my Nintendo Switch and saw the walkthrough on Youtube and it too was very wonderful as well and so I got it for Easter and have been addicted to this game since. Was Disney Magical World an American version of a popular Disney video game series in Japan? Because it's made by Disney and Bandai/Namco and was this game a huge seller in Japan when it first came out and did the American English version of Disney Magical World ever sell well too? I wonder why Disney Magical World 3 hasn't been developed yet? Because if it were made it too would be a hit
