Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread December 1-29 2012 Now Open!

I've been checking daily for November for months now only to find out today that they are only doing 1 day in November (Nov 16th)!

AND OF COURSE its not a day we'll be there!

We love to do something special for our last night and I like to end it with the fireworks (and we try to start that way too)... Its like a mini-celebration of our trip. We've done pirates and pals twice, I was hoping to do something different and still celebrate our last evening with the dessert party this time! DARN!!!

I called this morning and was told nothing available for 10/24. Checked online and still nothing. Today, as soon as I got home from the beach I logged on to disboards and saw others had already booked 10/24. I quickly went online and booked 10/24 for 3 people at 8:10 p.m. I was hoping for something later in the evening but am just happy to finally be done with my ADRs.

The CM I got today on my almost daily call (407-wdw-dine) to check for availablity told me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the demand will cause for more dates to be added!

Today, as soon as I got home from the beach I logged on to disboards and saw others had already booked 10/24. I quickly went online and booked 10/24 for 3 people at 8:10 p.m. I was hoping for something later in the evening but am just happy to finally be done with my ADRs.

I am glad you were able to book the wishes party, I should have emailed you, I have a note here to email 8/18-9/2 but I could have emailed you ....duh me , have a great trip, at least now you do not have to worry about the dessert party reservation.

Ok, if you want to do this, what time? What's the best time to see the parade and watch the fireworks? If I do a 9 o'clock seating, am I going to miss everything? Not keen on spending park time at the party, so I don't want a 7 p.m. ressie.

It seems a lil odd that they would only hold it one night in all of November and even odder still that a CM would have that info already.

Don't give up hope, looking at the online calendar the only dates not showing are the ones the night of MVMCP in November, just like how the nights for MNSSHP are not showing in September and October.

I went ahead and booked for 10/14 at 8:20 p.m.; I hope it's worth it! I hate to take away from park time but it will be the last night my mom and I are there and I think it would be special for us!

Besides, we'll be up at 6:30 a.m. the next morning to make rope drop at HS!

The Dessert party is one hour before Wishes fireworks. I haven't been yet, but from what I can determine , the times are just to help with orderly seating. Everyone checks in & then you are seated about 1 hour before fireworks. So if Wishes is at 9PM, the Dessert party is at 8 PM. The party is held in the Tommarowland Terrace restaurant area. Reports are that you can't see a lot of the parade from there, (can only see tops of the floats) so if seeing the parade is important, this isn't a good option for that.

You are paying for 1 hour of a dessert buffet & a dedicated seating area to watch the fireworks from. If you don't want to spend the hour away from rides, this might not be for you.

Thank you for the info; since I got a later time than 8, I just went ahead and booked. It will be nice to get some quiet time just laughing and relaxing together at the end of our first WDW trip together as adults - and we'll go through the shops as we head out to waste time with the crowds leaving!

Sheila.. don't worry I am just glad everyone looking for their October ADRs is finally able to get them Now, I have to finish unpacking from our trip to the beach and start packing for our departure on 8/18.

Never done this before. Can you see the show very well? I can't wait!

I agree with drmommy, I do not think we ate our "share" of desserts, but it was nice to be able to sit out of the crowd before hand, and then we did go to the railing and had a great view of the fireworks. Tink flies right overhead. DH really enjoys seeing Wishes from the park and this makes it very special.

Ironically I checked WDW this afternoon and nothing, then checked this thread an hour later, and was quite suprised to hear everyone booking for late Oct. !?!?! WHAT, I just checked !!! Anyway, checked again, and BINGO........we got our date!!! Thanks for everyone who kept this updated !!!

We will be there October 22, family of 5, but it is our 16th anniversary night.
Any one know if you can do someting special for an anniversary ???
Looks like a lot of us have anniversaries that night..........maybe we should all get together and do a grand anniversary party

When I made our reservation today, at the bottom of the page I think I saw "add a celebration" and it mentioned cake. But the cake can't have an inscription. At least I think that's what I saw... Maybe call and ask?

FINALLY got 10/22 as an anniversary surprise for my best friend and her husband, who are traveling with my sister and I. (We will be participating as well, since I could never pass up a dessert of any kind)

It does seem like there is a lot of anniversary celebrating on this night! This will be their 6th, and it is the actual anniversary. Her husband's birthday also falls during this trip, but we are celebrating his with MNSSHP.
