Calling the dining line will be a nightmare tomorrow since the F&W events open up for booking

So how far ahead do they open up? I am trying to get them Christmas week - busy time so I know I need to be right on calling as soon as they open up.

It seems to depend on the time of year. Summer seems to open up 70-90 days before. Sept. and Oct. were closer to 50-60.

Thanks everyone for the update! I was actually able to book for October 1st (WDW's 40th!). I had to use the infamous Phantom Toddler trick to find availability, but I got it.




So I just want to ask a quick question....

With the Wishes Dessert party, do the reservation times actually mean anything? As in, are there any issues with showing up much earlier then my ADR time?

The reservations times don't mean anything. Typically they willl start seating people 1 hour before the fireworks begin (just check the sign outside of Tomorrowland Terrace - it will tell you when to be there). The seating is pre-assigned so no one has to worry about not getting a seat or beating someone else to the "best" table.
Right now, Wishes is scheduled for 9:00pm on Oct. 1st so they should begin seating at 8:00pm - they'll probably start checking off names on their reservation list 15 minutes prior to seating. This was my experience - again, just check the sign outisde of the Terrace in the late afternoon/early evening to make sure.

What days in Oct were open? I want Oct 17th, I am on hold now trying to see if available. Wait time is 15 min!!

Wait time was 18 min and not open for the 17th yet.

From what's been said here, only the first week has been opened. Also, remember to possibly fudge your party size to see if there is availability. For instance, there was no available for my party of 2, so I added a phantom toddler and was able to get a reservation for 3.

I tried 3, no luck. What got me worried was the cast member said that it was available and now the whole week is booked up. Glad to hear that maybe she was wrong. Thanks I'll keep trying, it's not like I have anything else to do. LOL

I am not in panic mode yet, CM's have repeatedly told people on this thread that dates were all booked up for the past few months, when it truely was not the case at all.
If you read post one you will see that the past few months Disney has been releaseing the dates in some months at different times...no idea why but they have been not loading the entire month at the same time.

Wow thanks for posting I tried just an hour ago and they weren't open yet and I just by chance checked post again and it was open. Yea, I got Oct 17th. I had to cancel CP but were doing a charter dinner the next day.

I booked the 1st of october for 5 of us. It's sort of my bachelorette night so I'm thrilled I could book it. Thank you again and I really hope the rest of you get the dates you want! xx
