Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread December 1-29 2012 Now Open!

Question for all you who have done this before...
Do you have to be there at a certain time? I was hoping to watch the Electric Parade first, then go to the dessert party. But someone told me that I had to be in line an hour before the party started. Is that right? We have to be in line at 8pm, then get in at 9, then Wishes starts at 10? Am I going to have to wait 2 hours for this? Tell me how it works please

No, you don't have be in line at 8. Your table in assigned before the dessert party starts. You will have the same table no matter what time you get in line. The earlier you are there, however, the more time you have to enjoy the atmosphere, the desserts and get pictures taken by the photopass photographer! The dessert party starts at 9 pm... so if you go take in the Electrical Parade first, you will be missing out on about half your time to enjoy the desserts. You can hear the music from the parade and watch as the tops of the lit up floats pass by from a distance. It is not a great place to watch the parade if you choose to do so. But the music and lights DO add to the ambience while you stare dreamily at the castle sipping mini mango smoothies and eating brownies, tarts, creme brulee, chocolate covered strawberries... yum. We always try to get in line about 8:30 or so. Wishes starts at 10 pm (In July ... but does vary)and after Wishes you can hang out a bit until you are nicely cleaned up after. Most people leave right after Wishes... we always relax just a bit before heading out.

Thanks, that helps alot I guess we will just caatch the elec parade another night. I want my share of those yummy desserts! Yay...I can't wait!

I asked the same question when I made my reservation and I was told to arrive at least :15 mins before my reservation time. Apparently July 4th fireworks begin at 9:45. And I guess they cap it at 50-60 people so it should be a nice, intimate setting. Really looking forward to an awesome anniversary night! If anyone else is going to be there on 7/4 I would love to meet a fellow DISer

I wanted to book for the 4th but missed out. It was sold out by the time I called. I was disappointed until I talked to BF. I was focusing on the ONE thing I didn't get, while he pointed out the things I DID get (mainly Illuminations cruise for July 3 and a ton of ADRs).

So, I'm no longer upset. I'll keep checking to see if someone cancels. Or maybe try for another night.

If I continue to strike out, I'll try again for our Easter 2013 trip.

That is a bummer, but now you have a good excuse to have to go on another trip, "but we HAVE to go, I didn't get to do the fireworks party on the 4th of July!!"

That's a bummer. I see that you have an Illuminations cruise booked for the 3rd. Is that date changeable? The MK shows the 4th of July fireworks show on the 3rd as well as the 4th, so if your Illuminations cruise is changeable, you might still have a chance to do both

Anyone know if the prices increase or decrease depending on the season? I am looking for around Aug. 26th and this is value season. So am I safe to assume the end of Aug will be cheaper than 27.99 since that is the price for July. I was figuring around 23.99

Wishes newbie here.....reading the posts from July people, it appears many dates filled up super fast, is that just around the 4th of July holiday or does Wishes in general tend to fill up fast? TIA

I think the filling up depends on when you are going.. I went last May and only got my tickets a couple weeks before we went. Now that could have been just pure luck i'm not sure..

They all fill up fairly quickly but I think most people are talking about the holiday week in refrence to the sold out dates. We have been 3 times in the past ( June, Oct) and as long as you call within reason for August it should be ok, Aug is slower then July in my experience.

Does anyone eat a TS dinner then also do the Wishes Party? It seems like a lot of calories, but we are considering
