Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread December 1-29 2012 Now Open!

We have never done the Wishes Dessert Party and I know you pay in advance.

My question.....are we paying in full for our whole party or am I just putting down a deposit like the some of the other restaurants.

I want to pay in full and be done with it. So when we check in will everything be taken care of?

Now if August would just open up.

Just release the dessert party already. I just spoke to a CM and still nothing over the phone or online, she said to keep trying, like I don't have a life. COME OM ALREADY.

I am hoping this means that they are still tinkering with the park hours. You can't have a bunch of people pay for reservations for a 9pm fireworks show and then change it to 10pm. The hours for all summer are later. Maybe they are going to extend closing times for August.

or sadly, if bookings are down, the could cut the hours.

I spoke to a CM little bit ago who was telling me that his notes said August was no longer being booked I said, "you mean they have not opened it for booking yet" he said, what I'm reading is that they are no longer taking reservations.

I should have just said thanks and hung up, but no, I asked him further, do you mean they are no longer taking reservations as in it's all filled up (because I know that's not the case) or are they no longer taking reservations because they just aren't offering it.

He said he wasn't sure, but thought they weren't taking anymore bookings because there weren't any available.

By now I felt like slapping my forehead in true Curly of the 3 stooges fashion but since I was driving, I just thanked him for his time and hung up

It's so frustrating - vent over - thanks for reading

Oh boy! I realllly hope they offer it. My two favorite things to do are HDDR and the dessert party. And that was one frustrating phone call!!

Every person i have spoken to has given me completely different answers..today i was told the cm needed my reservation number to look and see if anything was available. when i said that she was the first person out of about 50 calls to ask for that she said the others may have not been looking bc you MUST have a resort reservation number to book...so i then asked so what does someone not staying on the grounds so to which she responded-"Ma'am your phone is breaking up!" haha she heard everything until she was caught in some of the bs they make up! it is to the point where if they say it isnt open i get right off the phone to avoid further frustration! haha it is just becoming insane at this point!

I'm pretty positive that it's just not been opened and filled already. I've been checking every hour on the hour for the past 4 weeks. I work at home and just leave the entire Disney site window open and I have been checking 1 or 2 days for each week in August almost every hour on the hour, sometimes more than that. If they would have opened up the booking window at any point, I would have come across availability, lol. I have even been checking a few times on Saturdays and Sundays.

My guess is they just haven't opened it yet. It hasn't been opened and filled. Maybe they aren't going to offer it this year, who knows BUT I'm almost positive August hasn't been opened and filled already.

You are right. Believe me, if August booking was open even for an hour, we would hear about it here. The only way it could be full is if it were booked for something private. Even then there is no way it would be booked the entire month of August.

Even with the possibility that they aren't offering it (only if they can make more money using that space for something else!) the phone CM's would be the last ones to have a clue. If I want an answer about this party, I would not ask them.

Given the hilarity that was/is the MNSSHP tickets over the phone (where from our posts on here in that topic it seemed like every reservations CM had their own special ideas on them) then I wouldnt believe anything most of them say about this. Ages ago when I booked for 180+10 and mentioned wanting to book this party but that I knew that was not going to be available the CM told me to hold on, then about 30 seconds later said that the best day to call back was July 9th.....

I'm telling you, my magic crystal ball is telling me they will open up on Friday, June 8th. It hasn't been wrong yet (although it is new, I broke the last one because it was never right).

I have been watching Aug also. I was starting to wonder if it was me or the reservations system so I checked July 25(random date) to make sure it worked(it did and there is room so less stressed about Aug filling up.)
