Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

My 180 days starts tomorrow morning at 6am. Question on the 180 days. As of now, when I got to MDE, dates through December 11th are available, which makes sense since I arrive on 12/12 which is why my 180 days start tomorrow. With the 180+ 10, will that mean that tomorrow morning, 12/12 will be available for me as well as all dates through 12/21? Or do I need to call for the +10 days? First thing on my list is the dessert party!

I will be in same situation in just over a week. If you have linked a Disney Resort rezzie to your MDE then the 180+length-of-stay-up-to-10-days is supposed to work. If you are off-site then it will only be 180. If you have a resort rez linked then you may still get a glitch making a call necessary.
I am worried because I have planA and planB but if planA doesn't work on-lline, do I book PlanB or hope it's a glitch and that planA will work on the phone an hour later - ACKKK :crazy2: I understand the planning ahead and on-line in theory; but it all goes haywire when WDW has glitches, late posting of park hours, changed park hours, or doesn't release everything on the date we are expected to plan... If they are expecting me to know my every move at 180+ and/or 60+; then they should have their act together more than 180+!!!:mic:

Yes. At 6 am all the dates will open.

I was one of those who got the glitch. I called at 7 (Panicked) and got everything I wanted including BOG. I just now picked up the Tommorrowland Terrace, and am waiting for the Candlelight Processional to open. I have had a lot of anxiety over these booking but all for naught. If you are at the right place at the right time, have all your ducks in a row, you will be fine. After sitting for an hour and watching all the BOG and CRT ressies slip away and being unable to do anything about it, I was pleasantly surprised when I called and heard "What time would you like it?". I was on hold for around 15 minutes.

:)

Welp, after months of planning and analysis (hahah), here it is 6:32am and I'm all squared away. Waiting for 7am so I can call about the Dessert Party - it's telling me nothing is available (and the time is showing for 6pm), but I did manage to snag a dessert reservation for a MVMCP night. Not ideal, but if 12/15 ends up being unavailable, we'll take 12/12. I'd rather have it on a party night than not get to go! Everything else worked out exactly as I hoped - including BOG! Now I'm not quite sure what to do with myself! I guess the countdown is on to make FPP reservations! :) If I get 12/15, I will cancel my res for 12/12 and will post immediately!

I just posted in the December cancellation thread about cancelling a party of 4 for the Dessert Party for December 5th.

Trying to book for the 13th as well and nothing showing this morning :( called yesterday and they could get nights that were for the christmas party but really don't want to waste that time - 15th or 17th weren't open either but all dates around it that were MVMCP. Very disappointing! Have to try calling at 8

Yup - I'm in the same boat. I have a reservation for a party night, but I'd really prefer the 15th. I'll let you know ASAP if the 15th opens

Has anyone gotten the party for 12/17 yet? It's only showing party nights right now as available????

I called this morning for my December date as I couldn't book online.

She checked and party nights were available but non-party nights weren't released into the system yet (at least for my dates which is middle December onwards).

Has anyone been able to book the party for any night that isn't a party night in December yet?

Thanks,
Chokky

Yes, I was able to book December 1st.

Sadly, I kind of feel better that at least we're all in the same boat. I plan to stalk this thing until it is resolved or I can't take it anymore (whichever comes first). I just hope they change the 6pm time to the more accurate 9pm time (I assume they will). I have BOG at 5:25 and don't want to get blocked from the dessert party just because the time is incorrect. *Sigh* Such is the life of a Disney nut :) Let's just keep each other posted and hope that the non-party nights get resolved soon!

Thanks for the update.

Anyone else in December on a non party night able to book yet other than December 1st?

And for December 1st did you book online or have to call?

I got December 6th about a week ago. That's a non-party night. I booked online.

Thanks...I will keep stalking the website then and hopefully catch it when they are released for my later dates.

Please forgive me from reading the entire thread to find my answer. Can you guys catch me up on what I need to do to make reservations? Is it 180 days now and what's 180+10? I have hotel reservations but that's it for now and I'm 180 day mark is in Sept. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

The Dessert Party is now available for booking at 180+10, but as you can see for December folks, dates that we should be able to book by now have not been loaded into the Disney system yet.
Most likely to do with the fact that Wishes will move later once the extended December hours are sorted out, which is what happened last year and most years previously.

180+10 is a benefit to guests staying onsite. When your ADR booking day opens at 180 out from your check in date you can also make dining reservations for the next 10 days after your check in date. So a total of 11 days.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Chokky

They have a dessert party available for a party of 4 on November 21 right now on the site (this is a party night)
