Historically, the earlier you book (meaning prior to your trip when you made your ressie, not the time of your ressie) the closer to the front you are. People do stand at the railing, but it you have a front row seat you can stay at your table and still watch from your seat. The tables in the back are pretty crowded and smashed together. The front row feels a little less claustrophobic![]()
See every year we go we get front row. I just assumed it was because we were a party of 6 and the larger tables are at the front.
