Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

Disney called me today about the email I sent about the Party. No new info, but it was nice they actually called.

Power in numbers! I will PM you with my cell #.
Anyone who has been trying for Sept and wants to join in just PM one of us and we wil compile a list.

For what it's worth, I just called and still not open for Sept 10th. I am hopeful something will change for us SOON! :cheer2:

I am sending you a PM!:goodvibes

I am an awful person, but when I saw a thread on the lines app about the party maybe opening up soon, I thought "Nooooooo those are OUR spots!!" :furious:

I just got off the phone with a CM. I'm wanting to book for 10/6. She checked and told me that my date wasn't open yet. She said that I need to call or go on line at my 90 day mark. She also told me that everything says 180 days but it's really not opening until the 90th day from the date you want to book, not date you are checking in.

Just passing the information I received.

Thanks for sharing. It honestly makes me laugh how many widely differing scenarios/explanations we've all collected from all the many CMs we've spoken to since this started.

Pm your cell phone as well and I'll send you mine and we can make sure that we are all informed ASAP when it opens :)

What day were you able to book for?

Sorry everyone, I was offline for a couple of days. I was able to book for August 17th online. You have to go to Things To Do, then Make Reservations, then put in your date and 8:30 pm and number of people. Don't select or search for Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party or you won't be able to book for the 180 days in advance. It makes it a bit easier to check your dates if you select Magic Kingdom at the top of the page, as you get less results when you search for a time and date.

Yup! This is different from what it had been for weeks now! Encouraging!
Did anyone else notice that when you pull up the Sept calendar for the TTDP most Tues and Fri and some Sat and Sun are "grey" (unavailable). Those must be the MNSSHP dates! Does this mean they FINALLY "finalized" the halloween party dates???? Seems like it, huh?
I think all of us waiting for Sept dates should keep close to this thread over the next few days. ALL of us here who have been so diligent very much deserve ADRs for this event!!!

I bet the September dates are open too, you just have to check the same way I did (see my last post). Looks like things are either very full or Disney is just opening them up a bit at a time. As I advised before, it took me two weeks to get the one I did and I was checking every day.

I...*gasp*...can't...*twitch*...log...*rips hair out*..in!

eta: After a few tries I got in. I don't go directly to TTDP, I search through the main dining page - Still showing unavailable. Hopefully the above is a good sign though!!
eta2: Called the 407939DINE number just in case but it is still not loaded. :)

I love the quote you have on your profile - I'm a Futurama lover too!

Okay, I just followed your instructions, and dates are turned blue color instead of gray, in September, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 25th, 27th, 29th, and 30th. All those dates are highlighted with the little hand thing so you can click on them. They all say no times available though, when you try to book a table. Ugh!!!!!!!

We have been calling and checking every day. Some of us for a month our more. Everything after Sept 7 th is on hold because of MNSSHP. It is a different situation than what you had. I believe you picked up a cancellation. :-)

So I just called Disney Dining and spoke to a castmember. I explained everything that's been going on with trying to get a reservation for the TTDP for September. I told him dates were highlighted on the calendar in September on the Dining website. He checked my date and told me it was all booked up. I told him that there was an online discussion going on about this, and that no one has gotten a reservation for September that I know of. He checked again to see if there had been any reservations booked for any dates in September, and said I was right, nothing had been opened up yet for booking. So we know more than the castmembers. Don't take no for an answer when you call, ask them to check to see if any reservations are booked.

This will be my 5th trip and 1st ever for my immediate family. I have already told them all about the party and regret it. :sad2:

I have never once made it to this party and thought this time it would be as easy as planning ahead and calling in early morning on my 180 day mark. That was over a month ago and I have been calling every day since. Last year I called many times before our trip to check for cancellations but never got lucky.

I love Disney but trying to book this event is the worst experience ever :furious:

For over a month about a dozen or more of us here have been "checking" every concievable "way" there is to try to get ADRs for TTDP on dates after Sept 7th. We've tried all sorts of suggested "tricks" to using the website reservations system. We've called more times than we can count and we've sent email after email to Guest Relations and some have spoken directly to Guest Relations CMs.
To quickly capusulize the last, oh, 15 or so pages of this thread..... August ADRs' are an entirely different animal than Sept ADRs. Sept dates have not even been loaded into the system of the reservations CMs for them to start to fill tables. The most common explanation we get is that it is because of the finalization of MNSSHP and this is the reason August is NOT affected.
As Gigi said, the times you called and had no openings was probably due to August being fully booked and then you got lucky and happened upon a cancelation. That's great for you, but it won't help us any because Sept is not even available for booking.... CMs report the tables are empty.... no bookings but they are not available to be booked as of right now.

You handled that phone call well!:thumbsup2
Sad but true, our collective knowlege here, surpasses that of many who work in the reservations dept.
When the knowlegeable CM's check further (an additional step not all take) to see if there are any tables actually booked it's called a "venue search". So now I know to ask them to do this if they don't offer to do it initially.

This is good to know. I'll ask for the same when I call from now on. Thanks!

This whole thing has been frustrating to say the least. The fact that they won't give us a date to call instead of just telling us call and check everyday is ridiculous IMHO.

It's good to know I'm not in this alone! :grouphug:

Via private message, we are collecting a list of cell phone numbers of persons who have been waiting patiently (or not so patiently, in MY case-- LOL) for Sept dates to be "loaded"
If you wish to be texted by the first person who is able to obtain a Sept ADR for TTDP, then PM me your cell # and I will add you to the list.
We just feel that it would be such a shame if any of us who have spent so much time trying for these Sept ADR's was to miss out simply bc they didn't call or check this thread for ONE DAY and that happened to be the day the tables loaded!

:thumbsup2 Sent PM.

I just called trying to get a ressie for October 4th.. The first rep told me that those dates weren't open yet. I explained that the dates were blue/gray on My Disney Experience. Blue being able to schedule, gray being party dates. She did offer to search into September, with no reservations by anyone. So I asked to be transferred to a resort rep, to see if I had any codes. Got mistakingly transferred back to dining. Oh, well. Might as well ask another rep about party dates. That dining rep told me they were all booked up. Very frustrating. Don't want to miss this, as it's my "wish" for this trip.
