Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

So I sent my daily email/call for the Sept 13th party and this is the reply that I just received via email:

Dear Julie,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

I can certainly understand why you are frustrated. At this time, those reservations can only be booked 90 days in advance. I also realize the issue with the site saying 180 days in advance and I am very sorry for the frustration and inconvenience you have had with this.

I would recommend checking back often in case this is opened up for 180 days in the future. You can check online or call us any time from 7am-11pm Eastern Sunday-Monday.

We appreciate your patience and loyalty. Have a magical day!

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

Are you kidding me???? I'm so tired of all the different stories. Now this CM is telling me it's only a 90 day reso????? Ugh!!! I'm hoping this CM doesn't have a clue and is speaking out her butt like so many others that I've had the joy of encountering at all hours over the past 3 weeks. Getting ready to throw in the towel on all of this.:crazy2:

For people trying to book in September... Have any of you been given this for a response... The dessert party has been booked by corporate businesses for all of September. I told the CM I have called every day for 3 weeks and have never been given this reason for the date not being open. The CM stuck to her explanation. I asked for a supervisor so she transferred me to guest relations. I told that CM what I was told today vs. what I have been told on previous calls. She put me on hold for a few minutes and advised me the date had not been released yet, and was unable to be booked. I asked about a corporate party booking the date and she told me she wouldn't know anything about that. This response concerned me, so I asked- how can the 1st person answering the call for reservations know this information but someone in guest services knows nothing about it. Her response- she didn't know how the CM could know about a corporate booking. Than said tickets for MNSSHP had not gone on sale yet so dates could still change. This is in line with what other CMs have told me.

Just wondering if anyone else was given this explanation.

You know this would not be nearly as aggrivating if we wouldn't keep getting these DIFFERENT stories from CM's. I think half of them are just guessing at reasons or repeating rumors and presenting them as FACT bc they want to act like they are "in the know" when in reality it seems WE know more than they do!!!
I tried calling the Reese person who sent me the email. She is out of the office for a few days due to family emergency. sigh

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've spoken to MANY CM's at the reservation # in the past 3 weeks an ALL of them have told me this is a 180 day ADR! I would email back that to the person who sent you this that they should double check their info bc they are in disagreement with the staff who handles these ADR's on a daily basis!!!!

Hey Crazymom! I just sent back a very aggrivated email stating just that. I love how they recommend to "check back often"...what do they think we have all been doing??? I put in the email that I would strongly recommend they train all the CM on what is actually going on so there isn't as much speculation and aggrivation. This last email probably got my name on Mickey's black list and I will never get a reso :)

I read last year's thread and it looks like the mnsshp dates were released May 1 2012 and 2013. So I'm going to assume that's when the dessert party reservations will open. They should post on the site that it depends on the season and not 180 days out.

I can't believe that they still don't have their story straight! Will all of us calling daily and sending emails, you would THINK that they would have trained the CM's on a unified response moving forward. The corporate business renting out all of September is very creative! I think I am going to stop getting up at 5am Central to check online for the next weeks. I will just check when I get up for work...

So if i have a tripped booked leaving December the 5th when can i call and book the desert party? ive seen 2 months before i leave, and I have seen 180's out?? :confused3

Now, that would be the 1 Million Dollar Question! :lmao:
Dec 5th may be as affected by the x-mas party dates not being finalized as Sept dates are the MNSSHP.

Disney left me a voicemail and I deleted without listening. When I wrote, I said - I don't want a phone call, I want an answer in writing.

So far people have been told

*that night is booked
*that night isn't available yet
*WDW is finalizing MNSSHP dates
*parties are cancelled due to construction
*all the parties have been booked by corporations

Me and my tinfoil mouse ears have decided that the next excuse is going to involve the Zombie Apocalypse. :crazy2:

Add to that list:
*that the TT Dessert Party is a 90 ADR

When I am finally able to get a phone conversation with this "Reese" who sent me an email, I am going to mention the *vastly differing* info we've been getting from all the CM's we've spoken to or gotten emails from AND the fact that the online reservations system for TT Dessert Party is also screwy! I feel like all of this is definitly adding insult to injury and making this already aggrivating experience WORSE!!!
I swear the only thing that is keeping me going is the fact that all of us here are in this together!!!

I have to pop in and say I'm not at all involved in this, but I have been following it like I'm binge watching a TV show! This is getting more and more convoluted and twisty, I wait with anticipation for the next round of excuses and reports and feel the frustration along with you!

Sorry you're all getting such a run around, but it's pretty interesting drama. Can't wait to see how this all ends! popcorn::

I have to say numerous times I have hung up the phone or sent a email only to feel like I was being punked. This could easily turn into a reality show to see how absolutely loses it first with all this miscommunication :)

Just want to thank you guys who are making these phone calls every day, as well as sending emails. I'm waiting to book this also for 3rd week of September, and I check this thread every morning to see if anyone's had any success. I appreciate the time you are investing in this.

I wanted to book this party for our trip at the end of September, but based on what you all have shared on this thread, I booked Pirate and Pals instead. I just wanted to let you know that they must have the MNSSHP dates confirmed. I was able to book Pirate and Pals for 8:15pm on Sunday, Sept 21st or my other choice of Friday, Sept 26th. The Magic Kingdom calendar shows them closing at 7pm that night, which combined with our cruise times, tells me we will be watching Hallowishes (traditionally at 9:30pm).

Anyway, I wanted to share that other experiences can be booked despite no official release dates for MNSSHP. My guess is that something else is causing them to hold off on the desert party.

Thank you all for contacting Disney and staying on top of this. This party is still on my bucket list, but I guess I'l have to wait until next year.

Best of luck :wizard:

Well, it's reaffirming to hear from an objective, "outside the situation" source that this is drama is "convoluted and twisty" and frustrating. When you are caught up in the moment and as in my case, "hormonal" to boot, you question whether or not you are over-reacting.
Thanks for posting! :hippie:

I think when they tell us that MHSSHP dates are "not finalized" it means that IN ADDITION to the events/days already on the schedule, they are considering ADDING MORE. Probably just waiting to analyze the numbers to see what would be more profitable- adding more MNSSHP parties or not.

In my case, I want the TT Dessert Party for the 10th and there is already a MNSSHP for the 9th.... I highly doubt they would have 2 party nights in a row! But.... still ...... I wait.....:furious:

TRUTH..... at 2 weeks into this mess I actually priced flights to LA and told my family I was ready to ditch WDW all together and change our vacation to DisneyLand instead!!!!
