The sooner you make your reservation the closer your seat is. For instance when the tables opened up for the 3rd and 4th yesterday the person who made the 1st reservation will be closer to the railing (right next to it probably) now if reservations are still available today and someone books then they will be farther from the railing. Thank you! Do you know if the earliest you can make a reservation for it is 9:00pm? Or do reservations start at 9:10pm? We had probably the BEST seats ever for it last year (right as you walk into the area and on the right up against the railing. We didn't even have to move from our seats to view the fireworks!). I can't remember what time our reservation was for though

Your seat isn't assigned based on your reservation time (ex: 9:00 which is the earliest time available if Wishes is at 10:00.) Your seat is assigned based on the order in which you BOOKED. If you just now booked for May 12 then you are a few months past the 180 day mark. Other people booking for that same day may have booked back in November or December, or whenever it was that they started this whole 180 day thing Therefore, I probably wouldn't expect a front row seat. Just my thought. Good luck, and have fun!

The time of your reservation does not really matter. The party starts 1 hour before wishes and you can show up at anytime. So if you have a 9:10 reservation and wishes is at 10 you can still show up at 9:00 they will not turn you away. I think the different times is just to try to keep the lines low (so everyone is not all arriving at the same time)

You're welcome! we have gone 4 times and thoroughly enjoy it too!!! This time we chose to spend that money on a new experience, but a little part of me is wishing we'd do the dessert party again

I know its supposed to be this way, but I was able to snag a somewhat last minute reservation last year and we were seated at the very front in possibly the best table. There was only two of us - maybe that's why . I just got another last minute reservation for this February (for 3 of us). I'm curious to see where we are seated.

I made a late March/April resort reservation about 2-3 wks ago. Currently there's no availability for the 2 days I can do the party. What are the odds that we will be able to book it if I check a few times daily? Should I even bother trying at this point? Also, is it best to call in or is checking via MDE fine? I haven't tried calling in yet.

If you're willing to put in the time to keep checking regularly, it can be worth your while. I was trying to get a date in early January for a friend since November. I checked daily, sometimes multiple times, to no avail. One week before my desired date, I was having insomnia and checked the website at 4:45am. Voila! I found availability. I was groggy and thought I was dreaming, but no, I wasn't!

Bottom line........if you don't mind putting in the time to check it, there IS hope! Good luck!!

Thanks. You've given me hope. Just tried calling in and they show nothing available as well. This visit is for my mom. I'm the only one she can go to WDW with and it's been a few years since she was there last. Thought this would be perfect for her, me and my DD16. None of us have ever done it before. I'll keep trying. I'm wearing out that "Find a Table" button already!! Not sure I'll be able to pry my eyes open at 4:00AM though!

If you don't cancel within 24 hours they keep your money, so I would guess that trying the day before might be a good chance since there might be people who realize its suddenly not going to work with their touring plan, they're too tired, someone got sick, etc... And they will cancel in time to get their money back.

This is what's so funny about the 180+10. You were already able to book for July 16. We check in on July 17 and can't book anything until next Saturday!

Our party is this Sunday. Wishes was switched from 9 to 10. My reservation in MDE still shows 8:00. I called dining for the third time today. Finally, this time they said it showed 9 for our reservation on their end. When I asked if it could be changed in MDE since it was presenting me from booking a Fastpass for the 8-9 block, she had me call for tech support. When I did this, they were unable to move my reservation time to 9 in MDE either. I asked if the CM could please override my 5, 6, and 7 pm FP+ times to 6, 7, and 8 pm, the CM instead offered me a 4th FP instead of possibly losing the ones we had. I was thrilled with that offer. So now from 5-9 pm we have Thunder Mt, Space Mt, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates. Not bad for MLK weekend!

Awesome!!! So, off topic for the thread, but on topic with your post....the system allows you to make 1 FP+ selection per hour? I know the legacy system made you wait 2 hours, so each hour would be great!

We'll...a total of 3 per day but yes when one time slot closes you can choose from the next hour if it's available.
