Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

I had read that the earlier you booked, the better your table assignment. Out of curiosity, I asked how many others had already booked.

Also, I "think" that on the really busy dessert parties, reservation sections are broken out in 5 min increments. For example, if you have a 9pm, your table/section should be better than a reservation of 9:20. Though, I'd still take a 9:20 if it was offered. I'm sure that others with more experience will be able to give more detail. HTH...

When I got my reservation on 12/2 I got to choose between 8 & 8:15. I chose 8. Hope that means I am one of the closer ones. Also can't figure out my charges. Do they charge for infants too? Every time I look at the reservation it says 'special' does everyone's say this? Thanks!

I booked for 8:00 on 12/4...all adults. Just checked my email confirmation and it says 'special' too. Confirmation doesn't show charges but I do remember seeing the total cost during the checkout process (which I only remember because I was able to add an exact dollar figure to my budget spreadsheet....)

No charge for under 3.

The early ressie will get you closer. Doesnt matter though cause there is always them people who feel they need to stand at the railing.

Regardless where your assigned table is, almost all the people who are interested in the fireworks stand near the railing. The cm's working the venue encourage guests to do so.

Yes I made my ressie over the phone & the CM made it very clear that the seating was for the dessert time. She said the fireworks viewing is standing room. I was glad they clarified during the booking process.

Because its covered, some tables have very little view. That's why most will stand at the railing. Some of the front tables have a decent view while sitting even with people at the railing.

Checked thread for last year and it opened 10/20, hope it is earlier this year. I'll drive myself crazy checking everyday.

Oh wow! I hope it doesn't take that long to open! At least there are a few of us on here watching for that date so we have multiple people checking (constantly) LOL

I made a reservation for Dec 7th. The reservation says 8:20, but the park schedule says that Wishes doesn't start until 10. Are the reservation times normally that much earlier than the fireworks?

No, that's unusual. The party normally starts one hour before Wishes.

We are going the same night & the CM on the phone told us to be there one hour before the fireworks. She didn't even give us a seating time other than that. See you there!!!! While we're chatting about that day, do you have a plan as how to manage the parade filming crowd that day?

HOWDY DAN!!!

Yep...Dadgum "Rail Standers"...:rolleyes1..Apologies in advance...For the Jan 5 viewing...(that'll probably be my son blocking your view.)
After numerous WDW trips, this is our first time to snag a reservation, so I'm pretty sure he'll be rather excited/anxious.
We'll try to keep him sittin', but it might be better to just let him stand, rather than try to deal with a total pixie dust eradication!

Okay, thank you. I thought it was a weird time.

Well I am glad I am not that only one that doesn't know what time to go lol. I am kind of nervous about the crowds that day. I think as soon as we get there we are going to try to take the Railroad to Frontierland. Hopefully, we can skip the crowds on Main Street while they are taping the parade.

Yes I keep forgetting about the railroad. Sounds good, but we're usually so tied to our strollers. Have fun!!
