Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

Is it better to book online or to call? I want November but in testing a booking for October all the dates that I tested are showing no availability. I am using the ones that are the darker blue as I assume those are the dates for the parties in October.

Once the party is loaded few report having problems booking online, it is easy and fast many times faster than calling as the CM will insist it is not open yet or sold out and that means either the person calling has to argue or beg the CM to check again or hang up and redial.

The past threads make for some interesting reading and will answer many questions you might have about the DP. Links can be found on the first page along with other info and links to DP Reviews :)

I still have October 30th party of 4 that I am going to cancel. I can't cancel yet due to a credit card issue but I am definitely going to cancel as soon as this issue is cleared because I have a reservation for October 28th and I don't want to go twice in one week.

Usually All of Nov is available for the Dessert Party, with the only exception being the night of MNSSHP on either 11/01or 11/02.

Not sure what is going on with Thanksgiving or the day after unless there is no Party do to TT being used as a restaurant those nights do to the crowds

Oh wow! Thanks! I will check MVMCP and see when those dates are. I'll be actively searching for the opening dates! First time I'm attempting this! Thanks!

Wow, That's only like $65 for me DW and DS. I can eat that much worth of Dessert's myself. :rotfl2:

Thank You!

Seriously! We've been to the dessert party 3 times, and each time I think my husband ate his money's worth in chocolate covered strawberries alone! They are AMAZING!

And then you have some like Bob and I who only had 4 Chocolate covered strawberries between the 2 of us, a coffee and soft drink :rotfl:

Yikes! That makes for some very expensive strawberries, lol. Curious why you are on this thread? Is the view of the fireworks really THAT special that it's worth the cost if you're not going to eat the yummies? I'm still on the fence about attending, and this worries me to spend $25 to eat 2 strawberries, lol. Is the food not great?

Anyone know what the cancellation policy for this is? We're going in November so I'm guessing we'll have to reserve very very soon and if I'm this uncertain, well, can I cancel it in early November if I can't convince myself it's worth the money?

The cancellation policy is 24 hours for a full refund. We had to do this 2 years ago when my husband ended up not being able to join us at the last minute. It took a few days for the refund to appear, but it eventually came :)

Hi there, we found out about this way to late on our first trip last Halloween during my Son's 7th Birthday :) We will be there January 5-11 for my daughter's 7th birthday (and my 29th bday :beach:) SO I though it would be a wonderful way to end our trip on our last night there (jan 10th)

Few questions.. any days in January listed yet? CM told me that they open reservations on 90 from the day you want to come, not the day you check in like other ADRs... Is this correct?

Also the website said 60 days but the CM said 90... Anyone with correct timing?

Any other tips... How fast do these go? If I call at 7am will i still not get it? Just wondering if I should try for more than one night or if I'm OK with going with our last night there... Lol HELP!

To me the seats/view alone is worth the cost, not having to deal with the crowds on the street or staking out a good spot an hour or more in advance is priceless

Why am I here? ........not sure I understand the question but waiting for November to open up plus I started this thread and keep it updated.

The desserts are awesome we just had a big meal at BOG so were not hungry

Hi and welcome! This reservation does not work like normal ADR's the party will open up about 2 months before the month you are going. For instance right now people are waiting for Nov to open up and it is expected to open up sometime between the last week of Aug and the First week of Sept. So for a Jan trip you are looking at reservation opening up in Nov. Also the reservations do not open up right at 7 they can open up anytime during the day. The best way to get a table will be to watch this thread because when you're month opens up someone will post on here that booking is available.

As we get closer to the end of the month you will see how this works when Nov opens and people are making their reservations.

I hope this helps congrats on your trip! :cool1:

Check page 1 for past January release dates

The DP becomes bookable aproximately 60 Days prior to the start of any given month.

Subscribe to this thread and keep a close eye between the last week in Oct and first week in November as that is the most likely timeframe January will open up.

Someone always posts within minutes of the DP becoming available as we are all rather fanatics about checking to see if it is open :rotfl:

I couldn't agree with you more.... We'll be on a restrictive diet when we're down in November....will probably have to eat more fruit than other desserts...gotta have a chocolate covered strawberry though! :thumbsup2

Oh, I SO agree!! I must admit, it was the first time we actually watched the fireworks, because I can't stand staking out a spot so far in advance. It was also so great to wait for the crowds to thin out! Chocolate covered strawberries, a nice cup of earl grey, a bite size pastry or two .... Lovely night!

Ahhh, ok.....being too full makes much more sense than only eating a few strawberries because the rest wasn't good, lol. Thanks for explaining!

Okay I am listening to Wishes right now and I cannot wait for Dec!! I should not have done this...
